Overview
Created in Malta back in 1999, CasinoLuck has been in the industry for longer than most and the fact it still prospers today is a testament to its ability to change with the times – this is shown particularly by the fact that the whole site is designed with mobile users in mind, even if the desktop site looks a little ropey at times because of this. Still, there’s an excellent range of great casino games and live dealer titles to explore here, as well as plenty of secure payment methods and lightning-fast withdrawals. So, as there are certainly lots of features to review here today, let’s get right to it and see if the luck of the Irish is with the rest of the site…
Bonuses
There are many CasinoLuck bonuses, free spins, and other promotions available based on players' country of residence. New players at CasinoLuck casino will be able to partake in a welcome bonus, and the offer available for players in your country is listed below.
Game Selection
We don’t know exactly how many CasinoLuck games there are in total (at the time of writing, at least) but it’s definitely running into the hundreds, if not creeping into the thousands. Long story short, you certainly won’t get bored playing here. And that’s especially true because of the quality of the providers who have partnered up with this casino to give you the best experience possible. For example, there’s NetEnt, Microgaming, NYX Interactive, Play’n GO, IGT, Thunderkick, and many more besides. So, let’s go over each of the main choices you’ll have…
Slots and Table Games
As you would expect, the biggest category of games belongs to the mighty video slot (think of the ultra-modern, 3D graphics, lots of bonus rounds style of play, etc), with classic three- and five-reel slots and table games running behind in second and third place. And there’s a smattering of excellent Scratchcards residing in their own category available from the top menu. Sticking with the Casino section for now, however, we find the following subsections for narrowing down your available choices: Featured Games, New, Slots, Jackpots, Table Games, and All Games. Then, over on the right-hand side, you can choose to view the current tab in A-Z format or else type the name of a release or provider in the handy search bar.
Taking the Featured Games as a good indicator of what’s popular on the site and what the casino thinks you’ll like to play, here are the top seven titles at the time of writing: Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead, Starburst, Dragons of the North, Fruity Friends, Gonzo’s Quest, Fire Joker, and Bonanza. So, all in all, we can see a good mix of things that never seem to go out of fashion (we’re looking at you in particular, Starburst!) and newer releases that have captured many a heart over the last couple of years. It also shows a nice range of available themes. Still, the lack of more granular search options or filters does make finding something fresh a chore!
The Table Games section is slightly easier to navigate simply because there are fewer of them compared to Slots. So, it shouldn’t be too difficult to locate your ideal version of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, sic bo, or casino poker, to name but a few of the most well-known titles.
CasinoLuck Jackpot Slots
CasinoLuck didn't use to have a separate jackpot games category and that used to be a serious con. However, things have changed for the better and now users can access the 25+ jackpots with a single click on the filter. As far as the selection goes, we saw Divine Fortune and Mega Fortune, two NetEnt top picks. There were other interesting titles like The Goonies Jackpot and Wish Upon a Jackpot. However, the biggest Microgaming titles, especially the world record holder for the largest-ever win (Mega Moolah and its sister releases), do not. So, we can’t really recommend that you play this online casino if your main interest lies in one day claiming some of the biggest prizes in the entire iGaming industry. So, we’re docking some points here!
Live Casino Games
This section is rammed to the hilt with some of the very best releases in the business, including the entire catalog from the esteemed Evolution Gaming – so you can expect to find many versions of all the classics like roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. Casino poker is also well represented, as is Evolution’s take on Super Sic Bo and Dragon Tiger. Plus, there are plenty of tables reserved for players who want to interact in languages other than English. Plus, with Evolution at the helm here, you get all the super quirky but thoroughly entertaining alternatives like Football Studio Pro, Deal or No Deal Live, Dream Catcher, Side Bet City, and more!
Usability
Usability
We primarily reviewed this site from a laptop computer (our analysis of the mobile site follows below), so we found the mobile-first layout a bit strange and unwieldy at times. The homepage is a mess, for example, with things blocked together and promotional banners crammed in alongside game tiles. Text sometimes spilled across vital parts of the text-based images below and generally looked very unprofessional. Plus, simple user interface considerations were totally thrown out of the window and felt a little scammy – for example, the dots on the bottom of scrolling banners show enable you to move from one banner to the next, but instead clicking on any of them whisks you off to the main Promotions page – frustrating!
Still, having got all of that off our chest, we think the overall layout and navigational aspects strike a good balance between the functional and the aesthetic. So, as we said, there is a mobile-first approach here, meaning that all of your main options are contained in a dropdown hamburger menu in the top left-hand corner. There, you can find things like Log In, Deposit, Promotions, Getting Started, and the ability to switch from English into one of three other languages. Running across the top, you have the Casino, Live Casino, Scratchcard, and Virtual Sports options.
A ‘Chat with Us’ symbol hangs over on the right-hand side of all the pages, providing quick and easy access to the support team. Then, everything else you might need is contained in the footer area. This is broken down into five columns as follows: About Us, Security & Privacy, Information, Getting Started, and Casino News. And that’s about it for this section.
Mobile Casino
The CasinoLuck mobile casino options consist of exactly one. You access the site directly from your mobile browser and the responsive site will automatically rearrange itself to fit any given screen size – we even tried the site on a tiny iPhone SE and found that everything functioned perfectly well. Those looking for a dedicated app for their iOS or Android device will have to look elsewhere, however, as there is no such mobile application for this site. Nevertheless, as things don’t work as well as they should on a laptop and/or desktop computer, we feel that you’re actually better off using this one from a touchscreen device that you can carry around with you.
CasinoLuck Help & Support
As well as a dedicated FAQ page, you will find lots of smaller guides dotted around the site. For example, clicking on Deposit in the footer brings up a three-question page of common queries regarding topping up your account, while the main Getting Started guide is great for newbies. Then there’s the FAQ page itself, which isn’t the best design we’ve seen with bright blue questions showing on a white background, but at least the answers are given in regular black text. Plus, it covers everything both new and experienced players might want to know.
These are the main categories in the CasinoLuck FAQ:
- Privacy
- Bonuses
- Depositing
- Cashing Out
- Submit Documentation
- Technical
- Reward Point Program
- General Information
Regular customer support isn’t available 24 hours a day, unfortunately, meaning that you’ll have to catch them between 08:00 and 23:59 (CET) on any given day including weekends. Live chat is your best option for a fast response (usually within a couple of minutes in our experience) but you can also wing an email over to the team and receive a response within a few hours (depending on when you send it, of course). The only negative we have to mention in this section is that there’s no phone number to call, which could be a bummer for some players.
Payment Methods
As we mentioned in our introduction, there is a wide variety of different payment options for both making deposits and withdrawing any winnings. Therefore, you can expect to use credit or debit cards, regular bank wire transfers, and a whole host of different eWallets and other payment solutions. All forms of deposit, aside from Interac which takes up to 24 hours, are instant. Withdrawals are processed within 24 too, meaning you won’t have too long to wait when expecting your winnings to come though, especially if you’re using an instant eWallet transfer. Just note that not all currencies are accepted for each method, so it’s best to check the main Deposit and/or Withdrawal pages for more information about this. Overall, then, good stuff!
Verifying your CasinoLuck Account
Once you’ve registered a new account for the first time, you will be sent a verification email (check your spam folder if nothing arrives within a minute or two). Clicking on the link inside takes you right back to the site as an official player. Then, when it comes time to make your first withdrawal, you will be asked to send over some documents for security reasons. There’s a separate Document Uploader tool on the site, which makes this process a relative doddle, plus there are guides for completing this necessary procedure should you require a little more help. So, when the time comes, have your passport or another form of ID ready, as well as something that shows your full name and address such as a bank statement or recent utility bill. Simple!
Security
Being based on the sunny Mediterranean island of Malta, this casino has naturally gone with the excellent Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) license for operating in various territories around the world. For the UK, the brand also has the notoriously stringent backing of the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) under its belt. With these two licenses, and the fact that 128-bit encryption is used throughout, we can thoroughly recommend this online casino in terms of safety and security – you’ll be in good hands!
Conclusion
We had mixed opinions about this online casino. On the one hand, it does many of the most important things just right, including the range of games, the streamlined approach to payment methods, and the excellent customer support mechanisms put in place. On the other hand, the site design leaves a little to be desired (especially on desktop computers), promotions are largely lacking, and we discovered that many countries are restricted from accessing the site entirely. Therefore, while we love certain aspects, we have to say that there is room for improvement!
