Slots, Jackpots, Table Games, Live Casino & More

We are impressed that such a relatively new online casino has so many excellent games providers on board to supply a full complement of video slots, classic fruit machines, table games, progressive jackpots, and live dealer titles. There are the big hitters such as NetEnt, Play’n GO, Microgaming, Pragmatic Play, and Evolution Gaming, of course, but also many different and exciting smaller studios too. These include Playson, iSoftBet, No Limit City, Kalaba Games, and many more. So, let’s take a look at the games you could be playing very soon…

Slots and table games

When first visiting the Playigo site, you’ll find the games front and center, and the vast majority of these are, of course, slots and table games (with an overwhelming abundance of the former). Luckily, there are a few different ways of finding that next perfect game in an easy way. First off, you can search for a game directly using the bar indicated by a magnifying glass icon over on the right-hand side. On the opposite side of the screen, two small buttons enable you to change the present games from any category in most popular or in alphabetical order. Lastly, you can choose to only see the slots (or other game types, for that matter) by the games supplier. We’d like some more filtering options, however, as that would really help speed up selecting a slot.

For slots or table games particularly, you will find them spread throughout various categories on the site. These include Popular, New Games, All, Slots, and Table – the other two choices (Live Casino and Jackpot) we’ll cover below. For modern video slots, however, you’re really spoiled for choice – from the massive hits of Gonzo’s Quest, Dead or Alive II, Starburst, Rise of Olympus, and Book of Dead to lesser-known but highly innovative titles such as Rise of Merlin, Temple of Heroes, Gemix, Spinata Grande, and Fruit Shop, to name but a few. As you can see, there really is every type of theme, game mechanic, and bonus round available at Playigo.

The Table section is similarly well-stocked, with everything from variations on the classics of roulette, baccarat, and blackjack to tens of different versions of video poker. Plenty of choices!

Playigo jackpot slots

Heading to the Jackpot section brings up all of the local, networked, and progressive jackpot games you could ever wish for – this, of course, includes the astronomically large jackpot prizes of Microgaming’s Mega Moolah Isis, Arabian Nights, and Major Millions Progressive, to name but a few. Smaller but no less fun jackpot slot releases are littered across this section, too. We particularly enjoyed playing for the top prizes on games such as Divine Fortune, Hall of Gods, Imperial Riches, for example, although we weren’t successful in our efforts this time around.

The only major downside of this section of the site is that you cannot see any of the current jackpot totals without loading the title itself (which takes 30 seconds or so) and seeing the in-game feed – this makes it a pain to try and find the ones that are more likely to go bananas within the 24 hours or so. And, we guess, if we were to be super picky, we would like to see even more games added to the Jackpot area, but here’s hoping more titles are included soon.

Live casino games

The majority of the live dealer releases come from the might Evolution Gaming, with a couple of the other ones from different providers – this gives us the option of switching to different studios on occasion, plus there are a few games coming live from Atlantic City, which is pretty awesome! Most of the games offered in this section are based on the time-honored titles such as roulette, baccarat, blackjack, sic bo, and dragon tiger, as you would expect. But, even here, there are loads of different versions to maintain your interest or to spice things up on occasion.

However, the selection doesn’t end with the classics. There’s also a fair few tables dedicated to VIPs and high rollers, plus versions of poker such as Casino Hold’em, and many other releases based on TV shows and board games. These include Mega Ball, Dream Catcher (think Wheel of Fortune here), Monopoly Live, Side Bet City, and Football Studio Pro. So, if you’re keen on taking a virtual seat in a live studio, interacting with beautiful croupiers, and hopefully taking the house to the cleaners at the same time, you’ll find hours and hours of entertainment here.

Playigo Welcome Offer

The welcome bonus package offered by Playigo is split into four unequal parts – this gives you plenty of opportunities to cash in on the casino’s generosity over your first four deposits. Here’s how each part is divided up and what you can expect to receive each time:

  • First deposit: Claim a 100% bonus up to €100
  • Second deposit: Claim a 100% bonus up to €100
  • Third deposit: Claim a 50% bonus up to €200
  • Fourth deposit: Claim a 25% bonus up to €200

All in all, then, we must say that’s a pretty deal from Playigo Casino. The two 100% offers give you the best value for money, of course, seeing as the site is doubling your playing funds each time. However, the two other deals enable you to claim twice as much as the first two – albeit that you will have to deposit more in order to max out the promotions. Sill, as we say, each one is worth taking up, especially considering that the minimum deposit each time is just €20. Note, however, that the mechanism for claiming them is a bit different from what we’ve seen on other sites. So, when you want to take these offers up, you’ve got to head to the promotions page, hit the Activate button on the stage you want, and only then make your qualifying deposit.

Bonus terms and wagering requirements

The kick in the teeth of these offers (aside from there being no free spins thrown in for good measure) is that the wagering requirements for each one stand at 40 times both the deposit amount and the bonus combined. This is above the industry standard of around 30 times when combining both amounts as is the case here. On top of this, you will need to complete each set of wagering on slots (some of which are excluded) within 30 days, otherwise, your bonus and any winnings resulting from it will be taken away. Therefore, it’s a tough call if you want to max out each of the bonuses because you will have to spend many hours playing through the required amount each time. Still, it is very possible, plus you can still end up on top at the end.

Promotions and bonuses

At the time of writing, three further reload bonuses could be claimed either individually, or else you can grab all three of them if you like. These Bronze, Silver, and Gold Bonuses can net you up to €150 each time, with the percentage changing from 30%, 50%, and 75% respectively. The minimum deposit for each one also leaps up in relation to the percentage, so you would have to deposit at least €20, €50, or €100 each time, and similar terms and conditions to the welcome bonus laid out above for each one exist. Still, that’s not a bad promotion to have on the site.

Aside from that time-limited offer, however, Playigo was pretty barebones when it comes to additional promotions. On top of this, there is no mention of a loyalty scheme or VIP program, which is pretty disappointing seeing as it can be a great motivator for players in the long run. We sincerely hope that one or both of these are implemented once the site is more established.

Usability

Playigo is a very well laid out site that keeps things sparse and spacious to limit the amount of on-screen clutter. So, we must award points here. However, we would also like to see a few more menu items for navigating the site more easily. For example, the top of the site only offers links back to the home page, Promotions, Create Account, and Log in (with the latter two options changing to Deposit and Log Out once you’re already signed in). But we would love to see a prominent dropdown menu for other key pages, such as Payments, FAQs, and more.

Hovering on the right-hand side of the screen at all times (aside from when you’re playing a game) is the Help Online link. This launches a window so that you can chat with one of the customer support agents or else leave an inquiry if it’s a particularly busy period for the staff.

Down below in the site’s footer, we were deeply disappointed by the limited amount of options. For example, there is no Payments page explaining deposit and withdrawal methods, fees, and the usual timelines for each option. The About Us page contained nothing but the legal mambo jumbo about the casino license held by the brand. And the rest of the links were for things we get the impression the casino was not keen to promote, such as the Privacy Policy, Responsible Gaming, and Bonus Terms and Conditions, for example. So, there are lots of little improvements needed here, please!

Mobile casino

Surprisingly, the site looked and felt much better on mobile devices. Though there is no added functionality (other than placing the top site options in a dropdown hamburger menu to keep things clean), we just preferred using the site via an iPhone or Android tablet because the experience was very smooth and we had everything required right at our fingertips. There is no dedicated app for either iOS or Android, but there’s no real need for one because loading up the site from any mobile browser worked like a charm. So, although we still want the additional pages and improvements mentioned above, we have no complaints about the mobile version.

Playigo Help and Support

The FAQ page is buried in those harder to find links we mentioned in the footer. Once there, there is a lot of detail and many questions to wade through – plus the font used made it seem like an endless task to get to what you require. We would suggest a search bar being added, so it’s that little easier to find a solution to any issue quickly and efficiently. Nevertheless, we’re sure these things will improve overtime once the site becomes more well-established.

These are the main categories in the Playigo FAQ:

  • Troubleshooting
  • Payments
  • Game Play

If you can’t find what you’re looking for on the FAQ page, then there are three options available to you for contacting an agent who can help you get your issues solved quickly. The first option (and the best one by far, in our opinion) is to click on the Help Online button on the right-hand side to open the Live Chat. This is available 24 hours a day, so that’s a plus point, for sure.

If you would rather send an email, you can wing one over to support@playigo.com. You will receive a response within 24 hours and, usually, it will be much sooner than that. Finally, there’s an option to call someone but strangely (seeing as the company is based in Malta) this is pretty much for Canadian players only – well, unless you don’t mind racking up a potentially huge phone bill. So, if you would rather call instead of using the other options, dial +1 403 800 4794.

Deposits and Withdrawals

While there is no page detailing your options for depositing and withdrawing, we were able to see what methods were available and confirmed all of the details with a member of the customer support team ahead of time. So, on the deposit side of things, you can use either Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, EcoPayz, Trustly, PaysafeCard, Interac, iDebit, or InstaDebit. This, we feel covers most potential players at the site, especially those from Canada, and we can confirm that all of these options are instant, meaning you can get going immediately.

Exactly the same payment methods were available for making withdrawals, except for PaysafeCard – therefore, you would need to arrange another option if that is your preferred way to pay. Our requests were authorized within 72 hours (usually much sooner on average), then it was simply a matter of how long the money took to make its way through the financial system. Therefore, we recommend allowing up to five business days in most cases.

Verifying your Playigo account

It’s standard practice for all online casinos to carry out security checks on new players within their first few weeks at the site. It’s nothing to worry about and if you follow the instructions provided to you, it will be a fairly painless process. The most common things requested from you will be copies of your ID (passport or driver’s license should be fine), possibly a bank statement and/or a recent utility bill showing your full home address. In any case, we advise fulfilling these requests as soon as you can so that you can withdraw without any issues.

Security and Licensing

Being based in Malta, you can rest assured that Playigo is fully licensed and regulated by the excellent Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). This enables the casino to operate in various territories around the world – though do note that there are quite a lot of countries on the restricted list for this brand. The MGA also helps ensures things are in a shipshape condition in terms of how the casino is run, so we have full confidence in playing at this site. On top of the European GDPR protections mean that your data will be stored correctly and the site’s use of SSL encryption on all of its pages means that your financial information should be safe as houses.

Conclusion of Playigo review

For such a new site (at the time of writing), we were impressed by how much had been done to bring in some of the best games providers in the business. There were a few other areas in which this online casino excelled, so the future seems very bright for Playigo. However, we did have some concerns and we’ve highlighted above where we think they need to be made. There’s a long way to go, then, but this brand is definitely headed in the right direction.
