Game Selection

Casino, Jackpots, Live Casino & Poker

You’ve got a lot of choice when it comes to browsing the catalogue of Winner games. Slots, table games, jackpots, live casino and a dedicated poker client are all available, which allows this casino to cater almost any type of player. You’ve got a few different filters at your disposal when browsing through the variety of games available. There are the New, Slots, Tables, Jackpots and Promotions categories that you can browse though, as well as a search bar when you already have a particular title in mind.

Slots and table games

While there certainly are a good number of slot games to choose from, the variety of game providers is sadly quite limited at this casino. You will be disappointed if you go in looking for your favourite NetEnt or Microgaming slots for instance, as the selection primarily consists of Playtech games. Playtech is by no means a bad games provider at all, but it does mean that your mileage may vary, depending on how much of a Playtech fan you are.

The range of table games is pretty good though with a number of Blackjack and Roulette varieties, as well as Baccarat, Craps, Sic-Bo and more available in their own dedicated category.

Jackpots at Winner

There’s quite a lot of jackpot games to choose from, which you can browse through in their own category. A great feature is being able to see the pots of progressive jackpot continuously get higher and higher, straight from the game’s thumbnail. We appreciate it when casinos put that extra detail in, as it allows you to see and compare the different games and jackpot sizes without having to manually go into each game. One progressive jackpot slot we’d definitely recommend you keep an eye on is Jackpot Giant, whose pot can reach into the millions of euros.

Live Casino games

The range of live casino games available at Winner casino is also limited to Playtech tables. This isn’t bad by itself, but does feel like a bit of shame when other casinos offer Playtech, NetEnt Live and Evolution Gaming tables. Evolution for instance is widely considered to be the apex live casino provider, so it is a big plus when seeing their tables available at any given site.

What you get is approximately 20 different tables that offer blackjack, baccarat, roulette, Casino Hold’em and more. There’s also a couple of specialty games like God of Storms Live and Spin A Win. These do a good job of spicing the selection up a bit, but simply doesn’t compare with the amount of choices one has with Evolution Gaming for instance.

Poker Client

Clicking on the poker tab at the top of the screen reveals a download button, which will take you to an instructional page, whilst beginning the installation process of the poker client. The client requires its own separate login, which you will be asked to do when starting it up. The client itself has a very sleek design, reminiscent of an App store. You’ve got several different tabs to use for filtering through tables and for navigating around with. You’ve got a variety of tables to choose from, including Hold’em, Speed Poker and tournament play. There are also distinct promotions and jackpots to be found here with cool prizes like a holiday to attend a worldwide poker tournament.

Winner welcome offer

Your first deposit will grant you a Winner bonus of 200% up to €350, which is quite a generous amount, especially considering that a lot of casinos tend to offer a 100% welcome bonus. On top of this, you also get a 60% deposit bonus up to €300 on your 2nd deposit. This adds up to a total of €650 worth of bonus funds, spread across your first 2 deposits. You will not need a Winner bonus code to opt in for either part of the welcome offer, instead a pop-up message will appear, asking you to accept the offer, during the deposit process.

It’s nice to see the welcome offer at Winner is kept simple, as it can be rather off putting when a site opts to make an elaborate reception for new customers, which requires you to go digging through an extensive list of terms and conditions to find out exactly what the welcome offer is and how to participate in it.

Bonus terms and wagering requirement

Speaking of terms and conditions, a lot of effort has been put into making the terms as simple as possible with the inclusion of bullet points, examples and a game eligibility table. You will need to make a minimum deposit of €40, to be entitled to the first welcome offer. This is rather high when compared to the standard €10 minimum deposit at a lot of other casinos, which was most likely done to compromise for the fact that the bonus is 200%. The 2nd deposit bonus has a lower minimum deposit requirement of €20.

Both bonuses have a pretty standard 35 times wagering requirement and overall winnings are capped at 10 times your initial deposit amount. There is also a maximum bet amount of €10 on any given name, as per the wagering requirements. Also keep in mind that the Winner bonus terms have a full list of game contributions, as some games will progress the bonus wagering requirements at different rates. While Winner does offer sports betting, please keep in mind that the welcome offer is for casino games only.

Promotions and bonuses

There’s a dedicated Winner promotions page, where you can find the full information on the welcome offer, as well as a range of other running promotions. These promotions can range from offering Winner free spins to bonuses and more. There’s also comp points that you can earn through playing with real money, where every €10 wagered equals 1 comp point at first. These points can then be converted into cash funds. The VIP program is also tied into the rate at which you can earn Comp Points and comes in 7 levels; starting at Member level for newly registered players, all the way up to Black level.

There’s also another cool loyalty program that comes in the form of achievements. There’s a number of achievements, each one tied to a specific slot game. Placing real money bets on any one of these games grants you progress on the specific achievement tied to that game. You’ll then be awarded bonus rounds on any game that you manage to unlock the achievement for.

Usability

The overall site design of Winner casino is straightforward and easy to use, all wrapped up in clean and eye catching graphics. There’s a lot done right here, as it’s easy to navigate from the game selections, to your transaction history and then maybe hop over to do some sports betting if you feel like it. There's 7 different languages to choose from and contact methods are provided front and center on page.

With that being said, there are definitely some improvements that could be made to make the site even more user friendly and presentable. We noticed quite a few grammatical errors in certain areas like the FAQ for example. This is an easy fix, but it speaks volumes on a site’s eye for detail when basic things, such as spelling, are presented immaculately. Apart from presentation, there’s a couple of navigational decisions that we also think could use some tweaking. While the help page gives you a useful list of contact information, there is no direct link provided to speak to the customer service team via live chat and no information given as to where you might find it. You will actually have to click on the profile icon, next to the cashier button, which will reveal a customer service button at the bottom of the list.

One other thing we thought we should mention. Entering a game actually brings up a separate window, rather than jumping to a new page, which some may find annoying. There is however something to be said for being able to play a game, while still having full control and access to navigate freely throughout the site.

Mobile Casino

You can also play on the Winner mobile casino site, if you prefer. We love the modern and slick design present in the mobile version and we could definitely see ourselves opting to play it over the desktop version. There’s just something about the way Winner has created a smooth user experience on the mobile platform that makes it stand out a lot more than the desktop version.

You’ve got a menu icon at the top left of the screen that lets you navigate to pretty much any page you might need in your day to day activity. This is also where you can easily change the language settings. The navigation bar found at the bottom of the screen lets you refine your search of games, as well as access quickly the cashier page. Using the game filters at the bottom of the screen actually pops up another bar with game selections, which is a great feature. This is on top of the regular game search functionality that is also found on the desktop version. All in all, a great effort is put into the mobile site, which we definitely recommend you try out for yourself, if you are already interested in this casino.

Winner Help and Support

The Winner FAQ page, found at the bottom of any of their pages, mainly provides information regarding their newly implemented wallet. While we usually expect an FAQ to contain a variety of information, from payments to account settings, there is still a lot of useful information provided here that will help you manage your balance quite effectively. Unfortunately, it’s not sorted into different categories.

The Winner customer support team can be contacted via phone, email, live chat or even fax. They are open 7 days a week and from 07:00 am to 01:00 am CET. While it’s not as ideal as a support team that is available 24/7, it does still mean they are only closed for a short 6 hours a day.

The experience we had with live chat agents was good, however we would like to see more functions implemented into the live chat client. There’s no indication of queue times or being able to save transcripts. We also experienced a same day response time on email queries, however it was a little disappointing to see that not all of our questions were acknowledged in a single reply. Also, you will need to keep in mind that there is a separate email address for any poker client queries.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Winner has recently implemented a new wallet functionality that separates your balance into different sections. This means that players will have a separate balance for the casino, poker and sportsbook sections. The main reason for this change, according to Winner, is allowing them to more effectively tailor make their promotions and rewards to a player’s interests. Funds can be transferred from one balance to the other from the cashier page, so players who like to play a variety of things are not punished.

For actually adding funds to your balance, Winner supports a lot of different payment methods to make transactions with. You’ve got the classics here with Visa, MasterCard, Neteller and Skrill all being supported, as well as a variety of bank transfer methods. You’ve got a couple of presets for deposit amounts, but can also make a custom amount by clicking on the “Other” button under the “Amount” section.

There’s a comprehensive payments page available onsite, which provides a great amount of detail for each individual payment method, as well as their processing times.

Verifying your Winner account

Verification of your Winner account will require sending in documentation, as per anti-money laundering legislation. This verification process is present at all licensed casinos and also helps to ensure that player protection standards are being met. To complete the process you will usually be asked to send in an ID, proof of address and proof of ownership over your chosen payment method.

Not verifying your account can affect any withdrawals you may request, so therefore it is recommended you complete the process as soon as you are able. That is why a lot of casinos also provide a dedicated uploader, which allows players to send their documentation immediately. Unfortunately, this is not present at Winner and you will instead need to wait for them to contact you to complete the process. This could be when you’re requesting a withdrawal or changing certain account details.

Security and Licensing

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) is the licensing body for Winner and is well reputed for its high quality and attention to fairness, player protection and responsible gambling. For this reason it is widely used by countless casinos across the world. It tends to be a good sign when a casino holds an MGA license.

Winner casino also provides a privacy policy that you can find on their site, which details the ways in which they use, store and secure your information, as well as your rights when it comes to your personal information.

Conclusion of Winner review

Winner would be a great casino, if it wasn’t for the limited amount of game providers supported. This is the single biggest letdown that the site gives itself. The usability is for the most part very good, with an excellent mobile casino, although there’s just a few tweaks needed when it comes to proofreading and adding a few more useful links in certain pages. There’s a lot of payment methods available, interesting and varied loyalty programs and also a sleek poker client. In essence, there is a lot of potential and a solid foundation to build upon. We really hope to see Winner casino improve upon this foundation with a greater selection of games in the future.
