At this rate, no one can convince me that there’s such vocabulary as “overfishing” in Reel Kingdom’s dictionary!
It’s barely a month after releasing the Big Bass Bonanza Reel Action slot, and the pro-fishing company has partnered with Pragmatic Play for another angling experience.

Like all other “Big Bass” prequels, Reel Kingdom and Pragmatic Play made this game compatible with modern smart devices. But since it’s available online, ensure you have a reliable internet source!
However, I think the developers yielded to the cries of enthusiasts and opted for a few tweaks. Instead of the usual daytime ambience, Big Bass Mission Fishin’ takes players on a nighttime adventure. It’s like the fisherman just realized that the best time to fish is after sunset.
You still get a transparent grid with rising bubbles separating the columns. And even though the underwater backdrop is darker, you’ll still spot a few fish swimming by amid the seaweed, corals, and what appears like sunken metals.
As usual, the control panel rests below the reels, while the ante bet and buy tabs are attached to the 5 by 3 grid on the left-hand side.
The game’s symbols have also undergone a few changes. For instance, the fisherman now uses a speed boat, wears full diving gear, and has a more advanced spear gun! As the name suggests, it’s like he’s on a secret underwater mission.
The paytable includes 5 low-paying and 5 high-paying regulars and 3 feature symbols.
As displayed in the paytable, all symbols must land and form combinations to form wins. To be more precise, a paying sequence entails matching symbols that hit adjacently from the leftmost column.
Like most online slots, Big Bass Mission Fishin’ pays based on the current stake!
Now, the low-valued 10, J, and Q royals pay 0.2x, 1x, and 5x the bet, while the K and A card ranks award 0.2x, 2.5x, and 10x the stake for 3+ OAK.
As for the premium symbols, this slot includes:
The Fisherman Wild only appears in the free spins and substitutes for all standard symbols. The game also has a free spins-triggering Jumping Fish scatter and a Fish Coin. Let’s see what the features do in the next segment!
As mentioned, most of the features are what you’ve probably encountered before in the previous series’ editions. However, the Big Bass Mission Fishin’ has a new Stack the Cash feature!
Hitting 3 or more scatters triggers the free spins. However, in case 2 scatters appear without the 3rd, it could be brought onto the screen by:
Manage 3, 4 or 5 scatters to trigger 10, 15, and 20 bonus spins. Before anything else, select files to reveal bonus modifiers until you click on a boot. The modifiers are:
Every wild during the free spins also collects all the Money values on-screen. Wilds also accumulate until the end of the round.
Every 4th wild collected retriggers +10 more free spins, while the money collection multiplier increases to 2x, 3x, and 10x for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th levels! However, the feature cannot be retriggered after the 4th level. Also, the following random events can happen:
This feature replaces all standard symbols with Fish Coins and blanks. The Fish Coin appears on all reels, taking random predefined values between 1x and 25x the total bet. The bonus starts with 4 re-spins, with every landing Fish Coin remaining sticky and resetting the respins to 4.
A robo-crab below every column collects all Fish Coin values when they fill the respective reel, and then all the symbols disappear from the column.
Whenever at least one Fish Coin appears, a bomb detonates on a random column, doubling all Fish Coin values on it and its respective robo-crab. All robo-crab values are added and paid at the end of the feature.
Big Bass Mission Fishin’ allows players to change the bet multiplier from the usual 10x to a boosted 15x! In turn, it activates the ante bet, naturally increasing the chance of triggering the free spins.
Or, press the displayed “Buy” option and pay 100x the current bet to trigger the bonus round from the base game instantly. Afterwards, choose between the free spins or Stack the Cash features!
While fishermen in real life depend on skills to catch fish, being one in this game requires luck since it uses an RNG (Random Number Generator).
All you can do is to spin the 5 by 3 reels. Then, hope for 3+ (or 2+ as displayed in the paytable) identical symbols to match adjacently on the 10 fixed paylines from the leftmost side towards the right.
Before playing, pick an ideal bet from the €0.10 to €375 range using the selectors flanking the Spin and Autoplay buttons.
As seen from the slot’s info page, it has high volatility and a possible max win of 5,000x the stake! Meanwhile, the theoretical RTP is a constant 96.50%, even when using the buy and ante bet options!
Reel Kingdom and Pragmatic Play seemingly picked the literal meaning of “there’s plenty more fish in the sea.” Otherwise, we couldn’t get Big Bass releases ‘bi-monthly’ if I’m being symbolic. Big Bass Mission Fishin’ is the newest addition, which, unlike its sibling editions, has some form of unique gameplay.
In short, playing this game means you should ignore the thematic aspect and focus more on what it offers mechanically, case in point, the Stack the Cash feature. In essence, it’s a hold ‘n’ win bonus doused with a fancy name. But by giving credit where it’s due, it’s not something you expect to find in a Big Bass fishing experience.
Apart from that, everything else revolves around the usual money collection and multi-level free spins. While it may not be an extraordinary change, it undoubtedly has greatly improved the angling adventure. And considering up to 5,000x the bet is up for grabs, I’m sure some of you can’t wait to go fishing!
