How to play

The gameplay smoothly follows the usual game style for most slot games. It is powered by 5 reels, 3 rows, and 30 pay lines that can be adjusted to suit your budget. Bets can be made with at least €0.30 and up to €3,000 per spin, setting the stage for high rollers. 

To place this bet, click the Settings button on the bottom-left side of your screen. Then configure the bet size and pay lines to arrive at your preferred total bet. At the far bottom-right is the double round-arrow Spin button; click it to start spinning. For Autoplay, click the + button immediately before the Spin button and choose accordingly.

The Autoplay function will offer up to 100 auto-spins. The desktop version presents more encompassing gameplay with all the graphics and buttons present as you spin the reels.

Symbols and payouts

The winnings you scoop from this slot will be awarded according to your line bet. The most rewarding standard symbols are the Waterfall and Tribal Drum symbols, and each will award 200x the line bet for 5 matching symbols. The Snake and Shield symbols will give you 150x the line bet for 5 on a pay line. Land 5 of the Mask symbol on a pay line and win a 100x the line bet.

The A card symbol will offer you75x the line bet for getting 5 matching symbols. The K and Q symbols will each offer you a 50x the line bet for landing 5 symbols of a kind. Each of the J, 10, and 9 symbols will reward you with a 40x the line bet when you have 5 on a pay line.

The Giant Gorilla is the Wild symbol that shows up on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th reels in the main game only. This Wild symbol will also replace all other symbols during winning combinations except for the Scatter and King Strike symbols. The Big Thunder Game Logo is the Scatter symbol that awards a 50x  the bet payout when you land 5 identical symbols while helping with the bonus game. The Crown is the King Strike symbol.

Big Thunder bonus features 

Big Thunder bonus starts with the Bonus Reel feature, which 3 or more Scatter symbols landing together will activate. You will then be awarded 15 initial Big Thunder free spins, during which the Giant Gorilla wild symbol will show up. 

A new bonus reel will be presented carrying x3 and x5 multiplier bonus symbols as the feature starts. If either the x3 or x5 symbol shows up on the bonus reel during a spin, every win for that spin will be multiplied by the corresponding multiplier value. A Feature Pay Table with higher values for each symbol will apply to this Bonus Reel feature. Land 3 or more Scatters here and receive 5 extra Free Spins.

The King Strike Bonus is similar to a jackpot game as it has Major, Maxi, Minor, and Mini bonus games. The Major bonus game is given for landing any 5 identical symbols of the Waterfall, Tribal Drum, Snake, Shield, or Mask symbols and a King Strike symbol on the 6th reel, without a wild symbol. 

The Maxi bonus game is offered when you land any 5 matching symbols of the A, K, Q, J, 9, or 10 card symbols with a King Strike symbol on the 6th reel and no wild symbol. The Minor bonus game is awarded when you get any 5 matching symbols of the Waterfall, Tribal Drum, Snake, Shield, or Mask symbols with a King Strike symbol on the 6th reels and at least 1 wild symbol. Lastly, the Mini bonus game will be yours when you get any 5 of a kind symbols of the A, K, Q, J, 9, or 10 card symbols with a King Strike symbol on the 6th reel, and at least 1 wild symbol.

RTP and volatility

The Big Thunder RTP is pegged at 94.38% and is quite poor compared to the standard RTP in most other slot games. The developer didn't provide the volatility info of this slot.
