How to play

Getting started with the Book of Alchemy video slot isn't too difficult. Players need to select their stake using the +/- button at the bottom. Your stake is bet 0.5 per line and is set for 25 active pay lines. Overall, the minimum stake you can place is €0.50, while the maximum is €50. This is not a great range but it is probably more suited to those who play with a higher budget. 

It should be noted that the game is presented at 90 degrees. As a result, the game must be played in landscape view. Symbols and payouts

You won't find any of the usual royal symbols in the Book of Alchemy. Instead, all of the symbols you find here are based on the alchemist theme. The higher-paying symbols are a selection of potions. The highest is a multi-colored one which pays out 10x your bet for a combination of five, it pays out 1x for a combination of four, and 0.5x for three. 

Next up are green, blue, and purple potions. These payout 3x, 2x, and 1.5x your bet for combos of five. The lower paying symbols here are glowing orbs. There are four to keep an eye out for - orange, green, blue, and purple. Orange is the highest paying of these, giving out 0.8x for five. Green and blue are next, paying out 0.6x and 0.5x for combinations of five respectively. Finally, the purple is the lowest, paying 0.4x for five in a pay line. The lowest payout available is 0.06x your stake for three purple orbs. 

Best Book of Alchemy bonus feature

There is a good selection of Book of Alchemy bonus features for players to unlock. You will notice two meters on either side of the reels when you load up the game. These will refresh with every single spin. In order to unlock a bonus, you need to get two corresponding spheres on the meters. 

Through the meter, players can win up to a 50x multiplier and get a stacked wild feature. For this, the corresponding reel will fill with wilds for one spin. There is also a locked wild feature, where reels 1 and 5 fill with wilds and are locked in for three respins. 

There are more bonus features added to the meters during the Book of Alchemy free spins round, which is unlocked by landing three or more bonus symbols on the reels. During the round, a connect wilds feature is also added to the game, which connects all wilds on the reel for a spin.
