How to play

Gemix 2 is a non-traditional slot that has a 7x7 grid layout. It does not have paylines, instead, it offers cluster pays. A winning combination is earned by 5 or more of the same adjacent symbols. The symbols must be aligned either horizontally or vertically next to one another.

This game also has a decent bet range of between €0.10 and €100. Simply choose one of the preset values at the bottom, or use the arrows to scroll for more bet values.

Symbols and payouts

In the standard Gemix 2 paytable you can find 8 symbols. These are different colored gems and shapes. The symbols are a dark blue rectangle, a light blue triangle, a purple square, a green pentagon, an orange flower, a pink moon, a red heart, and a golden star.

The payouts for these symbols are based on your total bet, and range from 5 to 15+ symbols. We will now list the minimum and maximum payouts for each symbol. The blue rectangle pays 0.1x to 4x, whilst the triangle pays 0.2x to 5x. Next, the square pays 0.3x to 7x, and the pentagon 0.5x to 10x. The flower pays 0.8x to 25x, and the moon 1x to 50x. Finally, the heart pays 1.5x to 100, and the star has the biggest payout range of 2.5x to 200x.

Best Gemix 2 bonus feature

The best Genix 2 bonus feature is the world progression. You must match the world pattern to unlock and progress to the next world. For each subsequent world, the world bonus is increased. After clearing a world, you also get the pick a pocket feature. Here you select one of two pockets - behind one is the world bonus for the new world. 

As you play, there is also the crystal charge meter. This increases each time you win. It is activated once you get 25 winning symbols. There are four different crystal charge effects - nova blast, crystal warp, light beam, and chain lightning. 

Nova blast explodes one random symbol that transforms adjacent symbols. The crystal warp targets one random symbol, and changes all matching symbols into other symbols. Next, the light beam shoots beams from one symbol - any symbols it hits are transformed to different symbols. Finally, the chain lighting fires a chain of lightning from the two corners - any hit symbols are transformed.

There are also different wild symbols for each world. There is a guardian wild, and a world wild for each world, making 8 wilds in total. All wilds substitute for any other symbol. They also have additional features. For example, the world wild in world 3 can spread from edge to edge across the reels. Unfortunately, you cannot win any Gemix 2 free spins. However, the array of bonus features more than makes up for this!

RTP & volatility

The Gemix 2 RTP is solid 96.20%. We say solid because everything over 95% is good, and Play'n GO went a step further by making Gemix 2's payout rate over 96%. This RTP is even better than the 96% payout rate of the original Gemix slot.
