How to play

HippoPop video slot uses a cascading wins style payout, branded as the PopWin feature. The game starts with a five reels and three rows design. The number of reels stays static, but the number of rows can increase. Initially, there are 486 ways to win.

Each time a winning combo appears, the winning symbols will be removed from the reels. The number of rows in those reels will increase by one, as two new symbols take the place of the removed symbols. If the new symbols also create a win, the whole process repeats. You can get up to a maximum of 8 rows in this way! With each additional row, the number of ways to win also increases up to a massive 65,536! During normal spins, the additional reels will reset at the end of every round. The maximum/minimum bets are €40.00 and €0.20 respectively.

Symbols and payouts

HippoPop has a variety of colorful symbols, divided into Low, Medium, and High payout symbols. All the payouts are based on your total bet.

For the low payout symbols, the J, Q, K, and A symbols all have the same payout. You can get 0.2x your bet for three on a line, then 0.5x your bet for four on a line, and finally 1x your bet for all five on a line.

The three medium payout symbols are similar – they all have the same payout. The three symbols are a Blue Fish, a Red Bird, and a Purple Frog. All three of them have payouts starting at 0.3x your bet at the minimum and 1.5x your bet at maximum, for three to five on a line.

The High-value symbols depict animals with glowing eyes. A Golden Zebra, a Green Jaguar, and a Pink Flamingo. Just like the lower and medium payout symbols, all three have the same payout. You will get 0.4x for three of one of these symbols, and 2x your bet for five symbols.

The last symbol is the Golden Hippo, known as the Super High symbol. This one pays out 1x to 4x your bet for three to five symbols. However, it also gets a bonus payout depending on how many rows are on the reel at the moment, up to 4x their normal value!
