How to play

Legion Hot 1 starts off with five reels and three rows. However, the middle three reels have an additional row at the top and bottom that are blocked off. These can be unlocked by getting bonus symbols. When the game is on the 5x3 layout, there are 243 paylines. With the 3-5-5-5-3 layout fully unlocked, the number of paylines increases to 1,125!

Symbols and payouts

Legion Hot 1 has fifteen different symbols, out of which 8 are normal symbols. The payout of each symbol is based on your base bet, which is your total bet divided by 30. So a 0.30 total bet comes down to a 0.01 base bet. 

Let’s start with the lowest value symbols. The royal suite symbols – J, Q, K, and A make up the lower symbols. They all have the same payout, netting you 4x your base bet for three on a line and 30x for five on a line.

The thematic symbols come to play next. The twin axes, a favorite weapon of the Romans’ enemies, are worth 8x for three and 40x for five on a line. The Red-Plumed Legionnaire’s helmet pays out 10x for three on a line and 60x for five.

The next two symbols are based on two animals prominent in Roman heraldry. The green stag pays out 15x and 75x for three and five on a line respectively. The white Lion pays out 15x and 100x for three and five on a line respectively.

For big payouts, look to the last two symbols. The Imperial Aquila, a famous symbol of the Romans, pays out 25x for three on a line. It is ten times that much, 250x, for five on a line. Finally, the Golden Coin with the Emperor’s head is worth 30x for three on a line and a massive 500x for five on a line.

Best Legion Hot 1 bonus feature

Legion Hot 1 has four bonus features you should keep an eye out for.

The first is the Wild symbol. By itself, it is nothing special. Like a typical Wild, it simply substitutes for any other symbol in the game.

The four Bonus Shield symbols are next. These symbols show a Green, Blue, Red, or Purple roman shield and they only appear in the middle three reels. During a Free Spin, they substitute as a Wild Symbol with a 2x multiplier. In a normal game, it helps open up the two blocked rows in the middle reels. The first shield will open up the bottom row on the reel it appears in. The second shield will open the top row. The third and fourth shields will give out multipliers and Legion Hot 1 free spins.

The first time you get any shield on a Reel, your bet is multiplied by 4. This is the ‘To Battle’ Bonus.

During the free spins, additional bonuses come to play – particularly the Hot 1. During the last free spin, one of the middle three reels is chosen at random. If there are any blocked rows in that reel, they are removed and two Wild Symbols are placed at the top and bottom.
