How to Play

Booming Games has kept things simple here. The game takes place on a reimagined version of what looks like Skull Island, with the game being focused on a group of explorers discovering the titular mighty gorilla. 

The action takes place on a 6x4 grid with 30 active paylines on each spin. Before each spin, players will need to choose their stake. The minimum that can be wagered is €0.30, while the maximum is €171. This is not a conventional betting range, though, it is more likely to suit players on a higher budget.

Symbols and Payouts 

The Mighty Gorilla video slot doesn’t offer huge payouts to its customers. The highest-paying symbol in the game is the titular gorilla. This pays out 15x your stake for a combination of 6, 5x for five, 2x for four, and 1.1x for combos of three. The other premium symbols are an explorer, a woman, and a waterfall, these payout 8x, 7x, and 6x respectively for combinations of six. 

The lower-paying symbols here are the card symbols. The diamond is the highest paying 5x for a combo of six, the heart is next, paying out 4x, with the club then paying out 3x. The lowest-paying symbol is the spade. This pays just 2x for a combo of six, 1x for five, 0.5x for four, and 0.2x for three. 

Best Mighty Gorilla Bonus Feature

There is a small but mighty selection of Mighty Gorilla bonus features available for players to take advantage of. The wild symbol plays a big role in the game, with two features based around it. The first is the random wilds, which can add up to 24 extra wilds to the reels on any given spin. 

An exploding wild can also land on your reels at any moment. This will land on the reels, explode and fill a reel. This can happen on any reel between 2-6. It can happen during the base game or the free spins and can be as a result of the random wilds feature. 

The game also wants to help you score bigger wins with the minor elimination feature. This will randomly remove all of the low-paying symbols on the grid. They will disappear and cause a cascade, hopefully, leading to some big wins for the player. 

Finally, there is the Mighty Gorilla free spins round. This is triggered by landing three or more scatters. Three scatters will give you 8 free spins, while the maximum you can get is 20 from six scatters. It is possible to retrigger these during the round. 

Depending on your location, you may also be able to use the buy bonus feature to skip the queue and access the free spins round for a selected price.

There is no Mighty Gorilla RTP listed by Booming Games, or any volatility information. We found, when playing for this Mighty Gorilla slot review, that the game didn’t offer any big wins, but that we still had a long gap between wins. We were unable to trigger the free spins round after around 150 spins.
