How to play

The Piggy Bjorn video slot plays out in five reels and three rows. The grid that sits on a Viking fortress includes 50 fixed pay lines. In typical gambling scenarios, choose a bet size first. There are only six coin values of between €0.01 and €0.50. Using the – and + buttons, adjust the values to alter your stake from €0.50 and €25 per game.

Symbols and payouts

There are nine standard symbols in this game, grouped into two categories. All symbols are well-done to align perfectly with the Viking era theme. Wins appear when various instances of identical symbols occur adjacently from left to right. Still, the combinations must land on an active line. You receive the highest payout per pay line.

There is no poker-playing symbol in the Piggy Bjorn slot. Instead, the lowest tier includes four Runestones of different colors and shapes. They all pay anywhere between 0.4 and 1.5x the bet for three to five of a kind. The premium icons are the Shields, Bows and Arrows, Swords, Axes, and Hammers, in ascending order. They offer top payouts worth 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, and 15x your total stake for at least three of the same.

Best Piggy Bjorn bonus feature

During your base gameplay, stay aware of the Piggy loot symbols that land on all except the 5th reels. When it lands, a random cash multiplier between 1x and 20x is awarded. If it lands alongside a Piggy Collect symbol (reel five), the values of all Piggy Loot icons add together and payout.

Keep an eye out for the main attraction, the Raid Bonus mode. It activates with three or more scatters anywhere in view during the base game. Each Scatter starts the bonus round with a random feature. The Mega Scatter presents a Fury Tax Collector. Then, bettors move onto the bonus mode with up to five Piggy Bjorn free spins and starting symbols. Every time a new symbol lands, the free games counter resets. 

Furthermore, each spin during the bonus has a chance of obtaining new symbols. They are Bronze, Silver, and Gold coins worth up to 20x, 100x, and 200x, respectively. Other special icons include:

• Payday – lands a value worth 2x least amount in view. Adds its value to all other visible symbols. 
• Taxes – adds all values to its own
• Payday/Taxes – doesn’t pay itself, adds all values to itself, then to all other symbols in view.
• Reinforce – awards +1 up to five free spins and doesn’t contribute to the full reel bonus. 
• Hammer – lands with a value between 5x and 200x, adds its value to all visible icons and pays itself its initial value if both reel and line are empty. 
• Bow – earns between 5x and 200x, adds its value to up to five visible symbols, and can pay a symbol more than once. 
• Odin’s Will – consumes up to three random icons except for Fury icons, adds its value to all icons up to two symbol radius, pays itself its initial value if no icons are in range.

Every Raid bonus symbol has a Fury version exempting the Payday/Taxes and Reinforce. The Fury version persists on the reels. Once you fill a reel or line, the reels expand up to two times in one bonus round, once in each direction. Filling the columns with symbols in all positions will end the bonus and 500x adds to the total multiplier.

Piggy Bjorn allows you to skip straight into the bonus mode using the Bonus Buy feature. You activate it at a cost worth 100x your regular bet.

RTP & Volatility

The standard theoretical Piggy Bjorn RTP is 96.12%. But, the RTP during the Buy Bonus mode can grow to 97.68%. With very high volatility, gamblers will need to be careful when managing their bankroll. In short, you expect low but high-rewarding win frequencies.
