How to play

Potion Trick is a simple slot game that has three reels and each reel has three rows. Also it features 27 paylines that are fixed. You can alter two settings for the bet value - the step, and the coin value. The step can be adjusted from 1 to 5, and the coin value from 0.01 to 2.00.  As a result, the minimum bet value is €0.50, and the maximum bet value is €500. This means that both low spenders and high rollers can enjoy this game.

There is also an advanced autoplay feature. Click on the A icon and you can select the number of spins from 10 to 500. Also, you can set the autoplay feature to stop if you win a set value, or you lose a set value. There is also a useful turbo spin feature. 

Symbols and payouts

Potion Trick has a relatively simple paytable as it only has three reels. There are six standard symbols in the paytable which include a purple potion, a green potion, a blue potion, a yellow potion, some mushrooms and a frog. 

The payout multiplier is based on the step value you choose (as described above). As a result, the lowest payout multiplier in the game is the purple potion which gives a payout of 8x for three symbols. Alternatively, the highest paying symbol is the frog which has a payout multiplier of 200x for three symbols.

It should be noted that you can only win with three matching symbols - two matching symbols do not earn any prizes.

After each win, you also have the chance to use the double feature. We advise caution with this. You can make big winnings, but it is essentially a 50/50 chance so there is a high possibility you will lose everything. If you select the double feature, you must choose one of two vials to complete the potion brewing in the cauldron. If you choose correctly, you double your winnings. If you choose wrong, the potion explodes and you win nothing. You can continue doubling your winnings a maximum of five times in a row.

Best Potion Trick bonus feature

The Potion Trick bonus feature is the spellbook symbol. This special symbol has a range of features and is both a wild symbol and a bonus symbol.

As a wild symbol, the spellbook lands only on the central reel and substitutes for all other symbols. Alternatively, as the Potion Trick Bonus symbol, when you get one symbol on the central reel, the Potion Trick free spin bonus round begins.

You get seven free spins that use your current bet value for payouts. Also, the basic paytable is used, however, there are some minor changes. At the start of the free spins, one symbol is chosen to be the special symbol. If a special symbol appears, it expands to cover the entire reel it has landed on, and you receive a bet multiplier too!

You cannot trigger additional free spins during this bonus round - the spellbook symbol simply acts as a wild symbol during the free spins.

RTP & volatility

The Potion Trick RTP is 93.72%. This is quite low compared to the industry average for video slot games which is between 95-96%. Also, this game does not currently have a volatility rating from Espresso Games. You can expect the best wins to come from the potion book symbol, or the double-down gambling feature.
