How to play

Even though this slot seeks to amaze all its players, the gameplay remains the same as most other similar-themed slots. So you have to play with 6 reels, 3 rows, and 10 pay lines. In the base games, you play with 5 reels, as the 6th reel is locked and will be unmasked in the later part of this slot.

If you decide to play with real money, you'd need to bet a minimum of €0.10 and a maximum of €100 for each spin. After setting your bet amount, you can head straight to the gameplay by hitting the big green Spin button at the bottom-right corner of the screen. You may also opt for the Autoplay function, and the button is the yellow button just after the Spin button.

Symbols and payouts

The total payouts of regular symbols are based on your line bet per spin. The payouts of the Scatter Symbol are according to your total bet.

The Scarab Beetle doubles as the Wild and Scatter symbol altogether. As a Wild symbol, it will perform the usual function of replacing every other symbol on the reels to form winning combinations. It also awards independent payouts of up to 500 times the total bet for 6 of on the screen.

Land 3 or more Scarab Beetle Scatter symbols on the reel, and you will receive 8 Scroll of Dead free spins. In our opinion, this is the highlight of the Scroll of Dead bonus features. At the start of the feature, the 6th reel will be unlocked for you to have a broader coverage of the symbols on the grid. If you get another set of 3 or more Scatter symbols in this feature, you will be entitled to extra free spins.

At the beginning of the Free Spins feature, a symbol is selected at random to act as the Special Expanding Symbol. When you land a winning combination with this symbol, the symbol will enlarge itself to cover the reels completely. Once this is done, your winning chances are increased, too. Also, Special Expanding Symbols can form a winning combination on reels that are not successively close to each other. These Special Expanding Symbols will not create winning combinations with the Wild symbol.

The Gamble Bonus feature is optional and can only help increase your wins in the base game. So, you have to guess the colour or suit of two down-faced cards. Guessing the right colour will double your entry prize, while the right suit will quadruple it. However, a wrong guess will crush your winnings, so exercise high caution. You can only gamble 5 consecutive times.
