As a luxury-themed game, the Ultra Rich slot’s story is open for interpretation. A Vegas-style podium holds the playing grid, where symbols like Cash, Luxury Cars, and Singers will pop up to create your winning combinations. 

The Bonus Wheel is a special feature that perfectly represents this slot's “Ultra Rich” theme with upgradeable multipliers and progressive levels. However, I wasn’t overly impressed by the base game since the Wilds are its only bonus mechanism. 

Symbols & Payouts

Ultra Rich boasts nine paying symbols plus Wilds as the highest major symbol that doubles as a substitute. Overall, the payouts are a bit above average, so let’s see the pay rates of all individual symbols:

• 10s, Js, Qs: 0.4x for three-of-a-kind, 1.2x for four, 4x for five;
• Ks and As: 0.2x for three-of-a-kind, 1.2x for four, 6x for five;
• Cash: 0.6x for three-of-a-kind, 1.6x for four, 12x for five;

Bet Limits

The betting range in Red Tiger’s Wild Rich is shallow, spanning from €0.20 to €4. On the upside, you can win up to 20,835x of your wager, meaning that a lucky spin can net you up to €83,340 at the max bet settings. 

Ultra Rich Bonus Features

This video slot essentially has only one bonus feature, the Bonus Wheel, which is so big that it can be considered a minigame with its own set of special features, such as upgradeable levels, respins, and huge prizes, so let’s review them all. 

Super Wheel

The big “Bonus” symbol can only appear on the middle reel, and only one is needed to take you to the grand Super Wheel feature. 

The Super Wheel will pop up on the screen, holding a range of multipliers and two special sections - Upgrade and Respin. Prizes are guaranteed in this round; even if the wheel lands on one of the special triggers, the Wheel will continue spinning until you are awarded one of the available multipliers.

Wheel Upgrade

The Bonus Wheel features a special section called the “Upgrade Sector.” It’s the green chunk of the wheel with small arrows pointing upward. When the wheel lands on this part, it will grow and include brand-new, upgraded prizes. 

For reference, the Base Wheel is the one that you’ll trigger with your first Bonus symbol, and it only contains three possible prizes, including 5x, 10x, and 15x multipliers. 

When you upgrade the wheel for the first time, the lowest multiplier is 10x, while other prizes include 15x, 20x, 25x, 30x, 40x, and 50x. 

Once upgraded for the final time, the lowest multiplier becomes 30x, and the highest soars up to a massive 1,000x. Multiplier sections also exist, which can upgrade all existing prizes by 2x to 20x. 

Wheel Respin

This is a simple bonus feature that spins the wheel again. It’s the purple section with two rotating arrows; if the wheel lands on this position, it will respin. 

The usefulness of this feature stems from the “randomness” of prize generation. Namely, you may see more chunks with higher multipliers, but the opposite can also be true. 

How to Win at Ultra Rich 

Ultra Rich features 25 fixed paylines, and all symbols pay only from left to right. To achieve a winning combo, you’ll need at least three symbols of the same kind on an adjacent reel. 

Ultra Rich  RTP & Volatility

Despite the lack of special features in its base game, Ultra Rich boasts a solid RTP score of 96%.

Its volatility is high, mainly because of the dual-layer nature of its bonus features. Not only do you need to get lucky to trigger the Bonus Wheel, but you also need to upgrade it to reap its full rewards. 

Final Verdict

I liked testing Red Tiger’s Ultra Rich because it’s one of the few slots that viscerally emulates the game-show style of games while being a beginner-friendly slot. Whenever I saw the Wheel symbol, I was at the edge of my seat, eagerly waiting for it to reveal my prize. 

Unfortunately, this game has some drawbacks that ultimately dissuaded me from trying it for real cash. The low betting range, bland base game mechanics, and rare bonus upgrades paint a picture of a slot that requires a lot of time to warm up.
