Three sports betting operators get the green light to start offering online sports wagering in Wyoming. BetMGM, Genius, and DraftKings secured permits to operate in the state. This makes Wyoming the 23rd state to legalize sports betting. It also plans to allow payments via cryptocurrencies. If this sails through, it will be the first state to accept this form of payment in the US.
The giant betting company BetMGM confirmed its approval to offer sports wagering in Wyoming. This is the 14th state the betting company is allowed to offer both mobile and online products. Adam Greenblatt expressed their excitement after receiving approval to enter Wyoming.
The BetMGM CEO stated the team received the news with much ecstasy. Mr. Greenblatt said Wyoming is a crucial state for the company as it expands in the West. They concluded by expressing the company’s confidence in the products offered to customers in the state. This comes as the country prepares for the start of the NFL season.
This entrance means Wyoming bettors can access the company’s mobile app. They also stand a chance to benefit from the M life Rewards program by MGM Resorts. This program will give customers a chance to accumulate points while betting on sports. They can later redeem the points at different MGM Resorts properties in the country.
DraftKings is also among the three operators to receive the first operating licenses in the state. It even went ahead to confirm its early launch while introducing a promotion dubbed “Double Your Money.” One of the ways the operator intends on distinguishing itself from the competition is by engaging in social initiatives in the state.
One of these initiatives is its commitment to plant 1 million trees by the next Earth Day next year. In terms of gamification, the betting company intends on creating a free-to-play pool for residents in Wyoming.
Matt Kalish commented on both social initiatives. The president and co-founder expressed their thrill after receiving a go-ahead to operate in Wyoming. The official stated Wyoming bettors will now have access to top-quality products for the most immersive experience possible.
Wyoming welcomed its latest sports betting operator, Genius Sports. The operator confirmed the news toward the end of Wednesday last week. The nod by the Wyoming Gaming Commission means Genius Sports is now available in 15 states in the country.
Mark Locke expressed their gratitude to the state’s Gaming Commission for granting the company a license. The Genius Sports CEO added the company is in top gear to ensure they offer high-integrity sports wagering experiences in the state.
They concluded by expressing confidence in the US sports betting market to match its potential. This the official said will allow the likes of Genius to benefit from their operations in the US.
Wyoming is still issuing licenses with several operators in line to secure entry into the state. Some of these operators include Penn National Gaming, FanDuel, Barstool, and Pointsbet.
