Habanero will start supplying its range of online casino content in Africa. This is after the innovative online table and slot games developer sealed a deal with Betway Ghana owned by the renowned Super Group.
The Habanero game studio announced this exciting milestone last week on Wednesday. This means Betway will now feature content from Habanero after sealing the content supply deal. Ghanian gamblers will be able to enjoy the studio’s game portfolio through the Betway Africa operation.
This agreement between the two parties also includes the developer’s previous hit releases. They include Hot Hot Fruit, Egyptian Dreams, and Wild Trucks among others. These titles will be available in the country’s iGaming market.
Betway Africa is Super Group’s Africa-focused sports and gaming brand. The operation is live in several regulated jurisdictions in the continent including Uganda, Kenya, and South Africa.
Habanero said entering the Ghanian iGaming market with a top-tier operator is a major milestone for the developer as it seeks to spread its operations in the region. Ghana’s iGaming market ranks second in the West African region with Nigeria scooping first place. This is in terms of the number of players and the annual revenue. It first opened its market in 2006.
Habanero further stated its collaboration with Betway Africa is decisive in its surge to expand its operations in the continent.
Arcangelo Lonoce spoke of the partnership with Betway. The head of business development at Habanero said the latest milestone is crucial for its penetration in Africa. Mr. Lonoce further said the continent’s dynamic market provides a promising area for the developer to continue its growth.
The official further noted the developer went live in Ghana and they cannot wait to supply its games to gamblers in the country.
Kwabena Oppong-Nkrumah said Africa has always been a special market for Betway Casino. The head of marketing at Betway Ghana said the operator has the potential to grow here. Furthermore, the partnership with Habanero will allow it to solidify its position after including Habanero’s exciting titles.
The partnership with Betway Africa comes at the back of another milestone by the Habanero. This was when the game studio partnered with Codere to strengthen its position in the Spanish gambling market. Codere is a leading Spanish gambling operator and the deal with the developer will see it host its game portfolio.
Habanero entered the Spanish iGaming market earlier in 2021. This was after it received certification in spring last year. Another recent partnership is with 7bet.lt, an iGaming operator in Lithuania. Similar to other partnerships, the operator now hosts titles from the developer.
The entrance in Lithuania makes it 18 the number of regulated markets the developer operates in across Europe. Other than strengthening its presence in Europe, Habanero has its eyes fixed on expansion across the LatAm region.
