Established in 2019, Lady Luck Games is already focusing on becoming as big as possible. Their latest purchase isn’t new computers or a coffee machine for the staff, but the content company Spigo ApS. Even though Lady Luck signed only the letter of intent, it has been announced the acquisition will be paid in cash and shares. It remains unknown how much the deal is worth, but it is expected to be completed by the end of the month. Spigo ApS is a gaming content company that operates primarily in the Danish market.
Lady Luck Games proved to have a good nose for business. The acquisition will bring them quite a few things all content companies dream of. First, it will get 27 titles produced by Spigo ApS. Second, Lady Luck Games will get its hand on eight customer integrations, including Danske Spil’s Spillehjørnet and Tivoli Casino B2C brands. Third, Spigo Station, the Denmark-licensed platform, is also a part of the agreement. Finally, the company will add Spigo SDK to its portfolio. Spigo SDK is a special technical solution that enables the accelerated production and development of gaming titles. Sounds like a pretty good deal, if you ask us!
And Spigo? Well, Kasper Kau, the founder of Spigo and majority owner, should be the new director of business development. Kau believes the acquisition will help bring Spigo to a new level. They also said the new owner and Spigo share the same vision of the company which includes strengthening the company’s financial status.
Mads Jørgensen, CEO at Lady Luck Games, said adding Spigo to the company’s portfolio was a strategic move. The CEO believes the new company will help bring more money to the company and make it even more profitable. Jørgensen explained Spigo was chosen because of its strong titles and growing popularity on the market. On top of that, the fact it has a “technical aggregation platform” was crucial.
Spigo was established in 2006 in Denmark and has offices in Malta and Miami. It is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and is a proud owner of the iTechLabs certificate for fair gaming. Its latest release in February 2021 was Battleship, a low volatility modern take on the popular board game.
Lady Luck Games was founded in 2019 and has quickly gathered a loyal following thanks to high-quality games. Some of its most popular titles are Valley of the Muses, Cuddles & Co., and Orango Tango. It also announced Rooftop Fight, a funky new slot that draws inspiration from vintage arcades and video games.
