Oryx Gaming Secures License to Operate in the UK

Oryx Gaming, a company owned by Bragg Gaming Group, has been granted a license in the UK. The license has been given out by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, allowing Oryx to operate in what is one of the most competitive iGaming markets in the world.

A Key Market for Oryx Gaming

The UK is one of the most popular and in-demand iGaming markets in the world and getting hold of a license from the UKGC can be a tricky process. The authority is renowned for its tough measures and its focus on customer security and protection.

Having access to this market will get Oryx Gaming a chance to establish its brand as one to watch in the iGaming world. It will allow the company to offer its services to a range of top companies who operate in the country.

The UK market has a total addressable market for a brand of $5.5bn according to 2021 reports, which means it is the biggest gambling market in the world. Of course, this makes it a key market for any developing company.

Big Plans for Oryx Gaming

The roll-out of Oryx Gaming products is expected to start before the end of 2021. Several of the developer’s top slots, as well as some developed by Gamomat, have been approved for release and will hit the market through the developer’s operating partners.

Securing this license is an important move for the expansion strategy of Bragg Gaming. It is expected that the expansion into the UK will help increase its total addressable market (TAM) in 2022 to $18bn.

An Unmatched Market

Chris Looney, the Chief Commercial Officer for Bragg Gaming Group spoke with excitement about the license. They said that the UK is the biggest market in the world, noting that all of the industry’s big movers compete in the jurisdiction.

They said that being given the license presents their company with the chance to grow significantly. One aim of the move is to bring top-class iGaming opportunities to players and operators in the UK. They finished by adding that the release of their products by the end of the year will significantly help the company’s plans for international growth and will accelerate the company’s success.
