A, B, C, or D? Is that your final answer? You might be hearing those words more often, even if you are not watching television at your grandparents’ house!
One of the biggest casino games providers, Playtech, has signed a partnership with Sony Pictures Television that will allow them to create three brand new live casino games, inspired by the popular TV quiz Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
This expansion of the Playtech live gaming universe should happen over the next five years. The Estonian gaming company is not wasting any time, as they have announced a partnership with 888 just a week prior. Talk about being busy!
Playtech hasn’t announced the official publishing date of the new live game, but they did say that its addition will be the next step in both the Live Game Show casino experience and their live gaming portfolio which has been constantly increasing in popularity and securing its position on the market.
CEO at Playtech Live, Edo Haitin, announced their vision is to provide the best possible gaming experience, and that also means creating live casino games in collaboration with world-renowned brands such as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He also mentioned that this game show has been “an absolute favorite worldwide”.
Haitin is not wrong; according to Wikipedia, this British quiz was first launched in the UK in 1998 and has lived to witness more than 100 international variations. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? has also been described as a TV format that revolutionized television, and let’s hope it will have the power to do the same thing for iGaming.
The CEO also promised an engaging product with unique features that will help players to feel like they’re in a TV studio, playing the beloved show. He also promised all the thrill and excitement of the original.
Players will, for now, have to be patient to wait and see whether they will have to answer all 16 questions right to trigger a massive jackpot or multiplier, or whether they will be able to chat with the audience to help them progress, as the entire game is still surrounded by mystery.
At the moment, Playtech live casino is not as present as some other brands that are available at almost all casino sites. However, it does offer a classic combination of games that includes true casino staples - such as baccarat, roulette, blackjack, and casino poker.
Their game show portfolio has been rather thin and basically non-existent, until now. With the announcement of the new live casino games inspired by Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Playtech is stepping into the game show arena with a strong presence. These upcoming games, along with their existing offerings like live slots and crossover games that combine traditional games like roulette with popular slot titles like Age of the Gods and Adventures Beyond Wonderland live, are set to create a diverse and engaging live gaming experience for players. This expansion is bound to open many doors for Playtech in the live casino industry.
All live games powered by Playtech are streamed 24/7 from large - 8,500 square meters to be precise - state-of-the-art studios located in Riga. Their tables cater to the needs of many punters, including those who can’t speak English, as they have dealers who speak Italian, Russian, Romanian, Spanish, Mexican Spanish, Mandarin, and many other languages. Furthermore, high rollers and players willing to risk can try their luck at VIP tables.
