Pragmatic Play Donates Over €40,000 to Worthy Causes
The gambling community likes to give back once in a while, and Pragmatic Play is a company leading the way. The content provider donated over €40,000 to charitable causes during the third quarter of 2021.
Giving Back to Communities
Pragmatic Play has donated over €40,000 to five different causes in Malta, Gibraltar, and Romania. The company confirmed these numbers in a press release on its official website. The brand aims to give back to local communities. It aims to make a difference by donating to charities and nonprofits.
In Romania, the company donated €7,000 to the Homeless Animal Hospital. This is a hospital that is based just outside the nation’s capital, Bucharest. The team at the hospital look after homeless animals. Pragmatic Play said that it was moved by the love and affection shown by the team and that is why it was chosen as one of its causes.
It also donated to the ANAIS association in Romania. This association was founded in 2011 with the aim of promoting respect and defending the rights of abused women and children. Pragmatic Play donated €10,000 to its cause. In return, the association provided a workshop and education program to all of the women working for the company.
Providing Help in Malta & Gibraltar
The company also donated to two funds in Malta. The first of these is the Step-Up For Parkinson’s team. Pragmatic Play donated €5,000 to the team, which has made it their mission to raise awareness and support for those suffering from Parkinson’s.
The YMCA, which is a worldwide organization, was the other charity that it donated to in Malta. The YMCA offers a range of services to underprivileged and homeless people. These services include help finding work, food schemes, and more.
Julian Jarvis, the CEO at Pragmatic Play highlighted the importance of this cause. They said that the past 18 months have been tough for a lot of people and that the homeless community has been especially hit hard by this.
The final company that Pragmatic Play contributed to was Calpe House in Gibraltar. It donated £11,000 to the organization. Calpe House provides care and accommodation for patients and escorts who have been sent to the UK under the Gibraltar Health Authority. The donation will be specifically used to build a business suite for the foundation at its premises in Norfolk Square, London.
