Playson has kept the gameplay for the Solar Temple online slot game nice and simple. There are five reels in the game, each with four rows. There are 20 active paylines on each spin. The design of the game is nothing too original, with a plain green background providing a bit of color and some basic animations adding a little bit of life to the gameplay. 

To adjust the stake, players can use the +/- buttons under the reels. The minimum stake is €0.20, and the maximum is €100. This makes it a good game for those on higher budgets, though, it isn’t likely to sting the wallets of more conservative players too much either. If you want to speed things up or give yourself a break, the slot has an adjustable autoplay feature that takes up to 999 spins.

Symbols and Payouts 

Landing a win in the Solar Temple slot involves landing winning combinations left to right. The highest paying symbol in the slot is the wild, which is a blazing sun. This pays out 10x your total stake for combinations of five, 2.5x for four, 1x for three, and 0.1x for combinations of two. An Aztec woman also appears as a stacked wild and she pays out the same amounts. 

Two Aztec heads pay out 3.75x for five, 1.25x for four, and 0.25x for three. These are the highest paying of the standard symbols. There are then four animal symbols that all pay out 3x for combinations of five. 

All of the royal symbols pay the same amount. The Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 all pay out 1.5x your stake for combinations of five, 0.5x for four, and 0.10x for combos of three. 

Best Solar Temple Bonus Feature

There are several Solar Temple bonus features to help you on your quest for winnings. When you are spinning the reels, you will notice that every time a sun symbol lands, the spot becomes bordered with flames. These flaming frames will then stick on the reels until the end of a 10-spin cycle, which you can track using a useful meter above the reels. On the 10th spin, whatever lands in these spots will then turn wild. If you land another sun symbol in any of the flaming spots, then it will add a 1x multiplier each time. 

It is worth noting that the flaming frames feature will only add the basic wild and not the stacked wilds to the reels. 

The game also has a bonus spins round. To trigger the Solar Temple bonus spins, you will need to land three or more of the temple scatter symbols. Doing this will trigger 10 bonus spins regardless of the number of scatters above three. During this round, any symbol that lands in a flaming frame will instantly turn into a wild. The frames will last on the reels until the end of the bonus spins round. 

RTP & Volatility

The Solar Temple RTP according to Playson is a solid, though far from spectacular, 95.22%. This puts it slightly below the industry average and is not likely to excite too many players. The title is highly volatile though, which may appeal to some.
