Pariplay likes to keep its gameplay simple and that is the case with the Bai She Zhuan video slot. The slot consists of a 5x3 set-up with 25 different paylines. To get started, players need to choose their stake. The minimum that can be wagered in one go is €0.25, while the maximum is €12.50, which isn’t a huge range. All winnings are paid out per line bet as well, so bear that in mind when selecting your stake.
The slot also comes with an auto-play option so you can kick back and let the computer do the heavy lifting. Accessing all of the information you need including the paytable can be done using the options at the bottom of the screen. If you want to get a taste of what the game has to offer, feel free to check out the free demo version provided.
Bai She Zhuan whisks you back in time to Ancient China and throws you straight into the midst of a historic battle. The two main characters are frozen as statues on either side of the reels but the rest of the symbols are all characters who are associated with them. There are two sets of symbols, a red set, and a blue set.
The protagonist, Bai She Zhuan for the blue side, is the highest paying symbol on his team, paying out a whopping 1,600x your line bet if you land a combination of five. There’s quite a drop then to 100 for four, and 40 for five. His equivalent on the red side is an elderly gentleman who pays out the exact same amounts.
Next up on the blue side, there is a temple, a snake, and a mirror, each of which pays out 300, 200, and 100x your line bet respectively for a combo of five. There is then a pagoda, a crab, and a bowl on the red side that pay the same.
Finally, there are the card symbols. On the blue side, there is the king and jack, and on the red, there is an ace and queen. The king and Ace payout 50x your line for five, and the Queen and Jack pay out 30x. The lowest you can score in the game is 5x your line bet with three Jacks or Queens.
There are two main sets of Bai She Zhuan bonus features available here. You will notice at either side of the reels there are two statues. According to the story of the game, these two are locked in an eternal battle and by spinning the reels, you can help set them free. Every time you score a win, you will either get red or blue energy to help unlock one of them.
When they are set free, you will receive a bonus round. The first game is Fai Hai’s bonus game. This can also be triggered by landing three or more of the bonus symbols on your reels. This is a simple pick-me feature where players must choose from different boxes to secure a prize.
Secondly is the Bai She Zhuan free spins feature. This is triggered when the other character escapes or when players land three or more of the free spins symbols on the reels. During the game, more free spins can be triggered by landing the bonus symbol.
Finally, there are two different wild symbols in the game. The first of these is Bai Suzhen’s Snake Wild. This can expand to cover up to three reels at random. The second is Fai Hai’s Turtle Wild, which will cover one extra spot and then remain sticky for a number of spins.
The Bai She Zhuan RTP listed as a low 93.61%. Pariplay has not listed any volatility information about the game, but we did find that the bonus features didn’t appear very often.
