Going by the slot’s title, Eldritch means sinister, while Dungeon means an underground prison. That’s why the game’s description commands you descend to the shadowy depths, where ancient powers stir and formidable enemies await.

The Eldritch Dungeon base game gives you a bird’s-eye view of the dimly lit dungeon. Then, you progress deeper into the dungeon as you unlock different bonus rounds, taking you into other environments.

This game is a typical RPG based on a quest to unlock hidden treasures in the final bonus round. But don’t worry, as the determined Ranger, the wise Arcanist, and the frenzied Mauler will accompany you to face any impending horrors.

Both the visuals and audio are top-tier and are presented nicely to reveal the extent of the mission at hand. So, don’t sleep around, but charge your hero and forge forward!

Symbols and Payouts

Print Studios and Relax Gaming went for an 8-affair, starting from the atypical 8 by 8 playing grid and 8 standard paying symbols.

Since it uses a cluster pays engine, you should aim for 5 or more matching symbols to appear horizontally or vertically adjacent to form a winning cluster. As displayed in the paytable, all the symbol pays reflect the current bet.

One thing about all the symbols is they are all thematic and cement the slot’s engaging nature.

The low-paying symbols are four Hieroglyphic Stones, which all pay between 0.2x and 20x the stake. On the other hand, the high-paying icons in Eldritch Dungeon include the following:

• Purple Gemstone - 1x to 50x the bet.

Every player’s objective in this game is to clear the way to the Dungeon Battle Bonus by clearing paying symbols. Further, you must defeat enemies hiding in the ground to trigger Spectral Effects and collect the Power Relics.

Wild Symbols

The regular wild and Wild Warrior substitute for all other symbols on the reels. However, in every spin, the Wild Warrior randomly appears on the leftmost reel, and an exit appears randomly on the rightmost column.

When the symbols are removed, the Wild Warrior will shift to the position closest to the exit. Any winning cluster formed while the Wild Warrior moves will be evaluated and paid.

Companions, Companion Strike & Dungeon Battle Attack

Only the Arcanist will be available when beginning the Eldritch Dungeon game. However, the Ranger and Mauler will be unlocked while playing. You can select the active companion before a new spin by pressing the companion panel.

Only one companion will be active per spin, and the Companion Strike can activate as follows when there are no further wins:

• Arcanist - converts 11-16 symbols into an identical random symbol and removes adjacent symbols above and below. Meanwhile, the Dungeon Battle Attack is to defeat a single enemy instantly. Its preferred enemy is Gnaw Brute, and its volatility is 4.

• Ranger - changes a line of 8 symbols to a random symbol and removes the adjacent symbols above and below. Its Dungeon Battle Attack is to deal damage to a single enemy. The preferred enemy is Wraiths, with a volatility rating of 3.

• Mauler - converts two areas of 2x2 symbols to the same random symbol and ejects all the surrounding symbols. Its Dungeon Battle Attack is to deal damage to all enemies. The preferred enemy is Elderkin, and the volatility rating is 5.

Base Game Battle

Four symbol positions hide an enemy in every spin. The Wild Warrior and the enemy will fight when a clear path appears between their positions. Defeating an enemy awards 1 out of 4 Power Relics and 1 Spectral Effect.

The Spectral Effects are queued and awarded when the wins are complete:

• Nightwing & Elderwing - transform 10 symbols to the same random symbol.

• Nightfang - adds 4 wilds at random positions.

• Elderfang - randomly adds 10 wilds. 

Dungeon Battle

This feature will start when the Wild Warrior has reached the exit position in the base game. In the first eight battles, the warrior and the companion will face 1 out of 3 enemy types, each at different difficulty levels. Defeating an enemy of levels 1, 2, or 3 will award 2, 4, and 6 Spectral Keys, respectively.

Meanwhile, the following Power Relics boost your chances of winning battles during the Dungeon Battle:

• Relic of Vitality increases health.
• Relic of Strength causes attacks to deal more damage.
• Relic of Fury causes some attacks to deal significant damage.
• Relic of Protection blocks some enemy attacks.

The warrior alone will face The Old One in the 9th Battle. Defeating The Old One unlocks all grid positions in the Treasure Hall Spins, places a 4x4 coin in the centre, and awards a 2x multiplier on the largest coin upon evaluation. This feature ends after losing 3 battles or after battling The Old One.

Treasure Hall Spins

This Eldritch Dungeon feature starts immediately after the Dungeon Battle and plays on an 8x8 grid with 6 positions unlocked in the centre. Every Spectral Key collected during the Dungeon Battle will unlock an additional position.

Further, landing a Spectral Key symbol during this feature unlocks 2, 3, or 6 more positions. You receive 3 initial spins that reset whenever a Spectra Key lands. The Coins always merge to the biggest possible square size and award their prizes at the end.

Feature Bet

Open the Feature Bet panel from the base game for 1 Companion Strike and a maximum of 4 already defeated enemies in the initial spin. However, the options vary in price, as indicated in the Feature Bet panel.

How to Win at Eldritch Dungeon Slot

As mentioned, this slot, with 8 reels and 8 rows, uses a cluster pay system. The aim is to form winning clusters with 5+ identical symbols aligned adjacently, horizontally, or vertically.

Then, the winning symbols will be removed and replaced by symbols from above. That way, you clear winning symbols and create a path to the Dungeon Battle Bonus.  

The €0.10 to €50 stakes lean more towards the low-rolling side. So, if you’re content with the amounts, set the bet and press Spin to gamble a single round.

Eldritch Dungeon also has an Autoplay function, which lets you gamble several spins continuously. The Lightning Bolt button changes the game’s speed.
