The overall feel of the 3 Angels Power Combo is more focused on beautiful characters and nice lights than storytelling, which is usually the case with jackpot slots. I liked the audio cues, especially the sounds when a bonus feature hits, but the world of 3 Angels Power Combo as a whole felt a bit empty to me.

The payouts for individual symbols aren’t bad, but lining up decent streaks would be almost impossible without the Nudging Wilds since you’ll also see 3 non-paying orbs floating around. Let’s take a look at the paytable of this jackpot slot:

• Qs, Ks, and As: 0.10x for three-of-a-kind, 0.20x for four, 0.80x for five;

I typically prefer jackpot slots where you can bet at least €50-60 per spin, but in this game, the range spans from €0.20 to €20. The top win is stated as 12,320x, meaning that you can win up to €246,400 with the grand jackpot plus regular wins.

This slot is brimming with special features, some of which can even help you score decent wins in the base game while you’re hunting for jackpots. Apart from Nudging Wilds, which can randomly trigger with any spin, there are three other bonus features, one for each sphere, so let me dissect how they function. 

Free Spins with 100 Paylines (Green)

Normally, 3 Angels Power Combo is a game with 40 fixed paylines. However, the playing field can expand by 2 positions on each reel when the Green Orb’s bonus feature is triggered. This expansion will then feature 100 paylines, which follow the same rules as the base game (symbols pay from left to right). 

You’ll receive 5 free spins when this feature triggers and any Wild symbol landing on the reels can “nudge” in a bid to cover the entire reel. You can buy this bonus for 20x of the current wager.

What confused me the most was the priority of the letter assignment, as some appear in multiple jackpots (e.g. the letter “N” is in Mini, Minor, and Grand). In my tests, letters were always assigned to the lowest jackpot while duplicates were assigned to higher ones. 

Ten free spins were usually not enough for me to spell out an entire jackpot, but fortunately, this feature can retrigger by drawing additional red orbs. 

Power Combo

This feature simultaneously activates two or all three Orbs and their respective powers. In other words, the grid expands by +2 fields in each reel, the paylines jump from 40 to 100, a random multiplier is assigned to your winnings each turn, and coins with instant prizes or letters will be introduced to the mix. 

Green and Blue powers mesh perfectly - more lines, nudging reels, and multipliers can yield great wins. However, Jackpot Draws (Red) will often drop coins that disrupt your winning combinations. 

How to Win at 3 Angels Power Combo

There are 40 ways to win in 3 Angels Power Combo during the base game, as well as during the Red and Blue bonus rounds. The game becomes a semi-Megaways slot while the Green Orb bonus is active, featuring 100 paylines and an expanded playing field. 

Symbols always pay from left to right in threes of the same kind; this doesn’t apply to Red Angels, which pay in pairs and higher combinations. 

3 Angels Power Combo Slot RTP & Volatility

This is a highly volatile slot with an excellent RTP rating of 96.40%. The nudging wilds can occasionally trigger during the base game, hence the returns are much higher than average. Still, 11 paying symbols and multiple bonus symbols are a bit too much, so expect anything from empty hands to huge wins. 

Final Verdict

I love feature-packed slots, but I prefer my jackpots simple. That’s why it took me around 1,000+ spins to objectively determine whether the bonus triggers in 3 Angels Power Combo help or stifle the player. 

Overall, I like the concept of each bonus in this jackpot slot, but I believe minor adjustments have to be made to make them a bit fairer. For example, the chance-based triggers have a poor hit frequency while Bonus Buy options are cheap; this slot would feel better if purchasable bonuses were more expensive and the hit frequency slightly better. 

And then we have Jackpot “spelling” instead of draws. Most jackpot slots give consolation prizes if you fail to draw one of the four main prizes whereas 3 Angels Power Combo punishes you with disrupted winning chains.
