The Seven Wonders of the World are among mankind’s greatest achievements. Their sheer size and ingenuity have long been a source of inspiration around the world, and it was only a matter of time before they made their way onto an online slot machine. Gameplay Interactive has stepped up to the plate with this simple but charming slot game based around them. With an expanding wild feature and some free spins as well, there is plenty to enjoy here. Let’s take a more detailed look at the slot in this review.

How to play

Gameplay Interactive has kept things very simple with the 7 Wonders slot. The title has a very simple design, with a backdrop of the wonders themselves being very easy on the eye. Don’t expect any sort of fancy gameplay mechanics here - the slot is made up of five reels and five rows and it has 20 active paylines.

Players must choose their stake using the options menu. You must choose your stake per line, with all twenty lines being active for every spin. The minimum stake is €0.20, while the maximum is €100, giving players a generous betting range.

To get started, you will then need to hit the spin button on the right-hand side of the reels. If you want to let the game do the hard work for you, then you can hold the spin button to trigger an auto spin. This will continue until you manage to trigger a bonus round.

Symbols and payouts

As you will have probably gathered from the name of the slot, this is based around the seven wonders of the world. As such, there are only seven symbols on the reels, one for each of the wonders.

The highest paying of the symbols is Crist the Redeemer, who will pay out 250x your line bet for a combination of five. For combos of four, it will pay out 200x your line-stake, and for three, it will pay out 50. Next up is the Colosseum. This Roman landmark will payout 120x line stake for a combo of five, 60 for four, and 25 for three.

After that comes Petra, The Great Wall of China, and Machu Picchu, these payout 60, 50, and 40x your line bet respectively for combinations of five. The lowest two paying symbols on the reels are the pyramids and the Taj Mahal, both of which pay out 25x your line bet for five,  10 for a combination of four, and five for a combination of three, which is the lowest you can receive in the game.

Best 7 Wonders bonus feature

Sadly, there is not a huge selection of 7 Wonders bonus features for players to take advantage of. The main feature here comes in the shape of an expanding wild. The world symbol operates as the game's wild symbol and it can appear on reels 2, 3, and 4. When a Wild lands it expands to cover the entire reel and at the same time initiates a free re-spin while remaining on the reel. This way you can get a maximum of 3 free re-spins with a total of 3 wild reels. This feature can lead the way to some potentially hefty payouts, considering that the rest of the symbols can land stacked on the reels.

RTP & volatility

The 7 Wonders RTP is not listed by Gameplay Interactive. Sadly, there is also no volatility information available. We did find that we could secure fairly small wins and trigger the free spins round quite often.
