There are two bonus features in the game. But let's start with the Book of Secrets. It's activated whenever you hit Books of Secrets on reel 2 and 4. Doing that activates another screen where you'll have to steal certain secrets. Each secret you steal awards you either multipliers or bonus credits. The only thing stopping you from robbing it clean is that this stage is timed. 

The other bonus feature is activated whenever you find the Elf-minted coin. It's a two-part bonus, with the first being a cashback - while the latter activates a cascading feature for more combos.
