Most candy-themed games, such as Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza, adopt unconventional mechanics and features. However, Jelly Candy, created by the fecund developer in collaboration with Fat Panda, is non-lethal.
Instead, it sticks to a more demure spectrum, embracing pastel colours and a sugary world backdrop. Like all other games by the duo, the 3x3 reels take after a vertical configuration flanked by a blurry screen to keep you focused on the spinning action.
Even though it looks ideal for mobile platforms only, it runs okay on desktop and tablet devices, albeit without a landscape orientation.
Truthfully, nothing seems disruptive of the norm, but the colourful visuals make the sight worth beholding. Further, the jazz melody infused with electric tunes uplifts the vibrant design.

This game’s simplicity paves the way into the paytable, which has only 8 symbols (7 regulars and 1 special). Better still, they’re all thematic, taking after different candies and fruits to maintain the candy-world theme.
Having 5 paylines translates to a straightforward winning process. Simply, land 3 identical symbols along a predefined line from left to right to generate a winning combination. Then, you can calculate your winning by multiplying the paytable value by the current bet.
The regular symbols in Jelly Candy are still ranked as low or high-paying, even with their limited number. The low-ranking symbols include the Purple, Orange, and Pink Swirled Candy, worth 0.4x, 1x, and 1.6x the bet for 3 of the same.
Then, the high-valued tier includes candy shaped as Club (Green), Heart (Red), Diamond (Orange), and Spade (Blue) card suits. These give out 2x, 2.4x, 3x, and 4x the selected bet for 3 OAK.
The Wild symbol takes after an Orange, which substitutes for all the symbols. It also pays 5x when three wilds complete a winning line.

If you expect adequate or a sh!tload of features to get you through the sessions, you're in for a rude shock. However, the developers had different plans and opted for a bare-bones experience with wins maxed out at only 375x the bet.
The fourth reel contains win multipliers only, randomly displaying 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x values per spin. However, one of the values is randomly chosen at the end of every Jelly Candy spin, which applies to all the line wins on that round.
Aand…that’s it for the features!

I’d be lying if I said this game has any hint of complexity. In fact, if toddlers could and were allowed to gamble, they wouldn’t blink twice to grasp this slot’s gaming process.
The Jelly Candy adopts a classic setup with 3 reels, 3 rows, and 5 paylines. However, it has an extra multiplier reel, which I’ve discussed above. To win, aim for 3 matching symbols on a predefined payline, starting from the leftmost column to the right.
If you’re lucky to hit a win multiplier at the end of the spin, it’ll multiply all your line wins and boost your payout!
This game should appeal to a broad audience thanks to the €0.05 to €250 betting limits. Press the Stacked Coins to access the bet selection panel.
After picking an ideal bet, click the Spin button to play a single Jelly Candy round. Holding down the button activates the Turbo mode. Alternatively, use the Autoplay feature to set many rounds that play automatically.
Finally, the “i” button leads to the paytable and game rules, while the Rotary sign exposes the system settings.

By default, the slot’s RTP is above average at 96.52%. However, while the volatility is medium, you can only rack up to 375x the bet, which is not great.
There’s no doubt that Pragmatic Play and its sibling studio, Fat Panda, have decided to invest in simplistic slots. It’s as if the pair realised that the number of newcomers and players looking for no-frills games is increasing. But who knows? Maybe the duo will opt for a different path in the future.
Jelly Candy is another raid on the 3-reel slot experience, following the likes of Emotiwins and Lucky Monkey, among others. But the big question is, while these kinds of slots appeal to basic gameplay enthusiasts, what about the unconventional ones?
Anyway, its action revolves around a ‘4th reel’, which is essentially an overhead row of multipliers. It displays different values every round between 2x and 10x, and the value that appears in the middle in any winning spin will multiply every winning combination. You can only manage up to a meagre 375x bet even with all that multiplier action.
In summary, this gameplay is basic, with nothing but multipliers to look forward to. But how I wish they were additive, at least. Then, the win cap could have grown and impressed high-risk players as well. Otherwise, it’s only fit for low-risk players, beginners, and novice gamblers.
