How to play

The Jewel Quest Riches slot has a unique setup of five reels and five rows. Unlike typical video slots, there aren’t set paylines. Instead, wins are calculated based on how many matching symbols land adjacent to each other. You’ll need to click the hand symbol on the left side of the controls to change your bet. Wilds can count for any other jewels.

There’s also a golden coin with a lion face; this is the scatter. It only appears on reel one, three, and five, and is needed to trigger the bonus feature discussed below. There are no scatters to trigger a Jewel Quest Riches free spins round. However, respins are quite common because this game uses cascading jewels. Any time a win is formed, the gems in that winning combination disappear from the board. New jewels will fall down to fill those slots and potentially create more wins. Each new win in a chain of cascades will receive an additional 1x multiplier. It begins at 2x and tops out at 12x.

Best Jewel Quest Riches bonus feature

The most exciting part of this game is the Jewel Quest bonus feature. This is triggered by landing three scatters on reel one, three, and five. Choose between coins to receive eight, 10, or 12 turns. The game is a match-three puzzle where you swap jewels to make connections of three or more. Every space affected by a matching combo will turn gold. Your goal is to turn the entire puzzle board gold and claim the bonus jackpot.

This is just the start, however. There are eight levels in the bonus feature, and the first one is Mayan Mysteries. Your progress through each level will be saved as long as you remain in the same game session. Every time you reenter a bonus round, you’ll be given your most recent, unfinished board to play on. Making better matches will give you better multipliers to choose from. When you’re out of turns for the round, the number of jewels you matched will be multiplied by one of the figures you earned.
