Rainbow Riches Pick 'n' Mix Slot Review

How to play

The Rainbow Riches Pick ‘n’ Mix video slot gives you a pot of golden choices for how to play. Whether gamblers find this delightful or a tad overwhelming will depend on their experience and desire to strategize. To kick off the game, you’ll be asked to choose between 5 possible bonus features. You have to pick one to start the game, but you’re allowed up to 3. The bonus features you select will be the only ones in play. You can reset the bonuses later if you find yourself bored or frustrated with your choices.

The game itself is on a five-reel, three-row grid lined with gold. There are 20 fixed paylines in play. The betting range here is €0.01 to €25 per line – as the lines are fixed, that’s a minimum wager of €0.20 up to a maximum total bet of €500. You can toggle the sound effects on and off, which include a cackling leprechaun, if you want to. There is also an option for Autoplay.

Symbols and payouts

There are 12 lucky symbols cascading down the reels. This includes six normal symbols: the Rainbow Riches logo, Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten. You can earn up to 500x your line bet with five Rainbow Riches logos. This is the first of many ways to win the 500x multiplier and claim the €125,000 jackpot. There is one Wild symbol, represented by a lucky coin. It can stand in for any of the normal symbols listed above to complete a winning payline. They do not standing in for special symbols to trigger a bonus feature.

There are five bonus features and five corresponding special symbols. A Leprechaun face, a Pot of Gold, a full Leprechaun, Toadstools, and a Rainbow Riches Pick ‘n’ Mix free spins logo. When you spin two, three, or four of these symbols, no direct payout is awarded. If you spin five of the former four symbols on any reels, you will win the jackpot. Only the free spins symbol is exempt from this. Spinning three or more of each of these special symbols will take you to a different type of bonus game where you can win between 2x and 500x your line bet.

Best Rainbow Riches Pick ‘n’ Mix bonus feature

The best Rainbow Riches Pick ‘n’ Mix bonus feature is the Road to Riches, as it was in the original version. To trigger this feature, you’ll need to spin three or four of the Leprechaun face symbols. One key difference between Pick ‘n’ Mix and the previous version is that there are two variants of the Road to Riches depending on how many Leprechauns land on the reels. Spinning the scatter symbols will transport you to a quaint and lively Irish countryside. A path winds through the green farmland, and each step is marked by a different multiplier.

You’ll be presented with a wheel to spin upon arriving on the Road to Riches. The number you land on when you spin the wheel indicates the number of steps you will travel down the road. If you land on Collect instead of a number when spinning the wheel, you’ll collect any winnings you earned and then be sent back to the base game. Triggering this feature with three scatters will give you smaller multipliers along the path while spinning four scatters gives you even greater rewards. No matter which road you travel, there is a 500x multiplier awaiting at the end. It’s yet another way to claim that jackpot!

RTP & volatility

The Rainbow Riches Pick ‘n’ Mix RTP will vary depending on the bonus features you select at the beginning. The range is between 94% and 98%, with higher wagers improving your odds. Likewise, the slot has low-to-medium volatility that depends on the selected bonus features.
