How to play

Ultra Star Deluxe by Novomatic has three reels and three rows in each reel. Its controls may be a little confusing at first but you cannot change too many features. There are 10 paylines in total, and these are always in play.

For the value of your bet, you can change the denomination, and the line bet value. Changing the denomination alters the conversion of game coins to real currency. The values include 0.2, 1, 2, and 10. 1 game coin = 0.2 currency. You can also change the line bet value through five different values depending on the denomination.

The overall bet value is calculated by the currency value, multiplied by the lines bet. This results in a minimum bet of €1.00, and a maximum bet of €500. The bet values are clearly shown at the bottom of the reels, and your current game balance is also shown.

Symbols and payouts

The payouts and paytable of Ultra Star deluxe are quite basic. You only win when you get the same symbol on each of the three reels. This includes straight lines and diagonal payouts too.

There are nine symbols in total. Lemons and cherries represent the lowest payout. This is followed by oranges and plums. After this, blueberries are next, and then melons. Golden bells are the second highest payout, and finally, the top single payout is for three number 7’s.

The paytable is dynamic and changes based on your lines bet and denomination. As a result, the highest single payout is achieved via three sevens and can earn you a huge jackpot of €50,000.      

There is also a wild symbol which is the golden star. This golden star only appears on reel two, however, if it appears, it expands to will the entire row. It also holds the reel and triggers the free respin bonus which is described below. The wild symbol does not have a payout of its own. 

After each winning combination, there is a gambling option. Simply press the gamble button and a new screen appears. Here you can gamble your winnings based on a game of chance with cards. Each time you gamble, you must select either a red or black suit of cards. If you are successful, your winnings are doubled, otherwise, you win nothing. You can gamble your winnings five times in a row but be warned, the chances of choosing successfully five times in a row are incredibly slim!

The Ultra Star Deluxe bonus comes in the form of an expanding wild and respin feature. The wild symbol as mentioned above is a golden star. This appears only appears in the middle reel but expands to fill the whole row once activated.
