The Back in Time classic slot scores some points for its very simple gaming interface. Game controls and play configurations are straightforward and you can start wagering seconds after you launch the game.
On the gameplay interface, you have the Back in Time signature on the top left. The paytable and an adjustable sound control button are to the top right. The three reels and three symbol rows sit at the center. On the bottom left, you have the “Choose Coin” button to select your coin size. This can be set to anything between 0.01 and 1.
Other game statistics like Credits, Bets, Wins, and Balance are right underneath the “Choose Coin” button. Below the main slot window are the gameplay controls: Bet per Line, Bet Max, and Spin buttons. These are the interesting operators to play once you are done choosing your coin size and other gameplay settings. Right above these is the “Click Reel to Hold” unique feature (more on this in the Bonus section).
The game features some exciting symbols. Back in Time bonus symbols include Dinomites, the pink, purple, green Dinosaur eggs, Dinomo, Stone Age, Red Sevens, the Back in Time symbol, and Stones. The pink, purple, and green Dinosaur Eggs have a payout potential of 250x, 100x, and 50x coins per sequence. Players will love the Dinosaur Eggs symbol the most.
The fact that this game has been around for a while also comes with one huge advantage in winning. Unlike many other recent slot games, Back in Time still subscribes to the old style of winning. That is, the matching sequence isn’t necessarily a left-to-right style. Your matching symbols can come in a left-to-right or top-to-bottom style. This makes for winning chances on the slot’s eight paylines.
The paytable puts its maximum bet at five coins per payline. The game has six coins whose values range from 0.01 to 1. With a minimum bet line of 0.01 and eight paylines, you get a minimum and maximum bet of 0.08 and 40, respectively. The 250-coin Jackpot is also achievable with five coins bet per line.
Remember the Reel to Hold bonus feature? It’s a unique feature of this game. This symbol gives you the advantage to hold a symbol on the reel after a spin. The additional spin while holding some symbols is always on the house (free of charge). This gives more flexibility in how players can increase their winning chances.
Another bonus is the one offered by the Rock symbol. This is a second screen feature that can only be enabled when you get three Rock symbols over several spins. There are three rocks on the Rock symbols. This implies that you get to choose three reels at which you’ll throw your rocks. Lucky players who throw match-winning combinations get to win more bonus credits.
The Wild symbol is another bonus feature. Its winning potential becomes stronger when used with the Hold feature. You get to hold some symbols on the reels, landing the Wild symbol replaces other symbols and increases your winnings. There are no multipliers or Back in Time free spins.
The Back in Time RTP has been set to 97.00% with low volatility. The eight paylines might not be the best of offers from BetSoft. However, its Hold function and the re-spin feature together with the Wild symbols change the narrative.
