It’s not easy to be a consistent online slot developer.

Pros & Cons
A wide stake range for all budgets
A dreaded xRIP could lead to no payouts
Many base game and free spin mods
The extreme volatility equals extreme risk
Win with 384 ways
An unbelievable 100,000x stake max win
Several bonus buy and booster options

The Deadwood R.I.P Slot Game

Nolimit City is returning Tombstone R.I.P’s vibe in this new release, from the grey design to some of its mechanics. However, unlike the prequel, which had a 2-3-3-3-2 platform with 108 ways, the grid in Deadwood R.I.P takes up 3-4-4-4-2 rows with 384 win ways!

Still, if you are connected to the internet, you can gamble on this slot on your mobile or desktop/PC device.

The dusty background blurs its contents, except for the chariot wheel poking out from the grid’s bottom left side and rolling tumbleweeds. However, the backdrop transitions to a graveyard during the free spins. My favorite visual highlights are the bullet holes that appear whenever you click on the reels.

The serene soundtrack eliminates any ominous aura, making the game enjoyable. Before I forget, you can admire the design and practise the gameplay with the free demo from this GoodLuckMate window!

Symbols and Payouts

Since there are plenty of symbols, including the specials, I’ll start by highlighting the regular ones. As is usually the case with Nolimit slots, the 10 regulars consist of minors and majors, as seen from the prize table.

A winning combination of 3+ identical symbols pays from the leftmost side to the right on adjacent reels. All the payouts in Deadwood R.I.P are bet-based!

The low-valued category lacks innovation since it includes the conventional 10 to Ace royal cards. The 10, J, and Q pay 0.1x to 1x the bet, while the K and A are worth 0.2x to 1.2x the stake.

In the meantime, the Skinny and Plumpy bloody characters in ‘Busted’ mugshots pay up to 1.5x and 2x the stake. Further, Skinny Joe, Edda Star, and El Gordo pasted on ‘Wanted’ mugshots pay up to 2.5x, 3x, and 3.5x the bet for 3+ OAK, respectively.

Since there are plenty of features, I’ll highlight them below alongside the related unique symbols.

Deadwood R.I.P Slot Bonus Features

Onto the slot’s bonus segment, you’ll find two xBets, special wilds, various free spins, and much…much more!

Fifth Reel

The rightmost column has the following limited symbols and unique properties:

  • No low-value symbols.
  • All icons that appear on it count as double when they appear fully.
  • It holds only the gunslinger symbols and the Hog Me Tight scatter.

xBet1 & xBet2

Do you want a more brutal but less awarding base game with high free spins triggering probability? Then, increase the base bet by +150% to enable Deadwood R.I.P’s xBet1 and get a guaranteed scatter on the second reel.

Meanwhile, you can get an even more brutal experience by increasing the base stake by +1400%! The xBet2 gives 10 times more probability of triggering the Salvation, and Redemption spins since it guarantees the scatter on reels 2 and 3.

xSplit Wilds

Two Diamondback scatters activate the Reel Split Wild on the middle 3 reels. It splits itself and the other symbols on its column into half, doubling them.

The Hog Me Tight Scatter appears only on the rightmost reel and is two symbols high. It also serves as a Wild and cuts symbols to the left in the middle rows. Splitting an xNudge wild doubles the respective multiplier.

xNudge Wilds

It always appears on the middle three reels as stacked and always nudges to be fully visible. Every nudge increases the win multiplier by one (1). Several xNudge wilds in the base game add together for a total multiplier and multiply each other during the bonus spins.

Quick Draw

Hit a revolver cylinder on reel one to activate this modifier. Depending on the cylinder's bullets, it prompts you to shoot 3 to 6times. Each shot doubles the hit symbol multiplier.

Shootout

The Shootout starts after 2 Sheriff Badges land on the 2nd and 4th Deadwood R.I.P columns. All low-paying symbols on the middle 3 reels behave as wilds.

xRIP

According to the paytable, any spin with a total payout below the base bet triggers this mode, which results in no payout.

Scatters

Hit 3 Diamondback scatters on the 3rd reel to activate 5 Redemption Spins. However, if the Hog Me Tight Scatter also lands on the last reel, they’ll start 6 Salvation Spins.

Landing the Hog Me Tight Scatter without activating the Salvation Spins will split symbols to the left in the middle rows besides acting as a wild.

Redemption Spins

It starts with 5 spins, during which the multiplier increases by xNudge Wilds (1x to 4x) and remains throughout the feature. Any accumulated win multiplier will be multiplied by another xNudge Wild.

The Hog Me Tight Scatter upgrades this round to Salvation Spins with an additional spin. Meanwhile, 3 RIP scatters retrigger +5 spins!

Salvation Spins

It triggers 6 bonus games, where the win multiplier behaves similarly to the Redemption Spins. However, the 5th reel will always have a Hog Me Tight Scatter as a wild and a Splitter for all symbols on the middle row. Hit 3 RIP scatters for +6 spins!

Nolimit Bonus & Nolimit Booster

With the Deadwood R.I.P Bonus buy, you can buy 1 out of 4 features with prices ranging between 80 and 1,500 times the stake. You can also activate any of the xBet options from the Bonus Booster.

How to Win at Deadwood R.I.P Slot

Up to this point, you already know the slot’s configuration and how to form winning combinations.

But to reiterate, it has 5 reels set with 3-4-4-4-2 rows and 384 ways to win! Winning happens when identical symbol combos appear adjacently from the leftmost reel, and you can rack up to 100,000 times the stake!

The stakes range from €0.10 to €100, and you play the reels to land a winning sequence potentially!

You can also play automatically using the Autoplay feature and enhance its speeds with the Turbo button.

Anyone curious about the symbol payouts and other game details can access the related window using the three-lined Menu icon.

Deadwood R.I.P Slot RTP & Volatility

This Wild West adventure has a theoretical RTP of 96.09% and high volatility! However, the RTP changes when using the booster and buy options.

The Final Thoughts

Yes, the industry is full of games themed around the Wild West. But none has the potential of breaking barriers with so much dynamism as Nolimit City’s releases, including Bounty Hunters, Tombstone R.I.P, Tombstone: No Mercy, and now this Deadwood R.I.P.

Playing this game felt like a complete experience, with many bonuses, which I’d rather not delve into again. Instead, I’ve described them in the bonus section above, so ensure you check them out.

But the xRIP feature is the enemy you’ll be dueling, especially for the low-rollers. Imagine, as a low-spender playing an extremely volatile game, you expect to limit your bets to avoid high-risk exposure. Then, the xRIP triggers, meaning you have no payout if your win is below the staked value.

Playing it was a roller coaster of highs and lows. But overall, it was full of potential, as evidenced by the maximum win of 100,000x bet!
