There are two ways of looking at a slot like Dolphin Reef. You can view it as a fairly uninspired slot with no features and an average design, or you can see it as a throwback to a simpler time when games weren’t loaded with complex gameplay mechanics and special features. How to Play

If you like your slots kept simple and your designs very basic, then you are going to like the Dolphin Reef slot game. If, however, you enjoy games that have a little bit more about them, then you can probably give this one a miss. The slot’s aesthetic feels very dated, with the reels sitting static in the middle of a sea background. There is a ray of light shining down from the top of the screen to add a little extra life, but it doesn’t do much to improve the feel of the game. 

The slot itself takes place on a five-reel by three-row set-up with 20 adjustable paylines on each spin. To start a round, players will need to select their coin size and how many active paylines they want. You can play for as little as €0.01 on just one pay line. The maximum you can wager on each line is €0.50, making a max €10 total bet if all lines are active. Disappointingly, there is not even an autospin feature available in the slot. 

Symbols and Payouts 

In the Dolphin Reef slot game, all winning combinations will be paid out as multiples to your line bet and not your overall stake. The highest paying symbol in the slot is a clownfish which pays out 5,000x your line bet for combinations of five, 500x for four, 100x for three, and 5x for two. This is followed by a turtle, which pays 1,000x for five, 150x for four, 30x for three, and 3x for two. 

The last of the higher paying symbols are a star and a seahorse that both pay out 250x your line bet for five. The Ace and the King are next as we move into the royal symbols, paying out 250x for five, followed by the Queen and Jack paying 150x. 

Finally, the lowest paying symbols in the game are the 10 and 9. These pay 100x for five, 20x for four, and 5x for three. There is also the scatter symbol, which is a treasure chest, that pays 100x for five, 10x for four, and 3x for three. 

Best Dolphin Reef Bonus Feature

Playtech has some fairly imaginative titles under its belt, but as you can probably tell from this Dolphin Reef slot review, this really isn’t one of them. When it comes to bonuses, they are few and far between in this game. 

The only Dolphin Reef bonus feature on offer here is a bonus spins round. This is launched when you land the dolphin scatter symbol on reels 2 and 4. You will be given five Dolphin Reef bonus spins to use. A little bit of spice is added to the round, with all symbols on reels 2 and 4 becoming wilds, presenting plenty of good winning opportunities. 

RTP & Volatility

Throughout this Dolphin Reef slot review, we have not been too impressed at what the slot has to offer. Its dated visuals and lack of interesting features don’t really help it to stand out from the pack. This is further reflected in theDolphin Reef RTP, which comes in at a fairly uninspiring 95.23%. There is no volatility information provided by Playtech in the game. We found that we were able to score some small wins during the gameplay but failed to launch the bonus spins despite a lot of attempts.
