• Chip: 0.50x for a pair, 1x for three-of-a-kind, 2x for four, 3x for five, 4x for six;  

Coins awarding instant prizes may also appear on any position, but they will only be included in your wins if their block is cleared at the end of the sequence. 

Only “Chip” pays in pairs while all other symbols start connecting as three-of-a-kind matches. The wagering range is quite broad, spanning from €0.10 to €200. Epic Dreams has a 5,000x top win limit, meaning that you can win up to €1 million each round. 

Epic Dreams Bonus Symbols

What makes Epic Dreams different from typical Megaways slots is that only two bonus symbols are featured - Wilds and Super Bonus Pick. 

The Bonus Round (or its super-charged version) can be triggered by clearing all obstacles from the playing field through tumbling sequences, so you don’t have to chase scatters to receive free spins. Below I’ll elaborate on how these triggers work. 

Bonus Pick

As soon as all the stone blocks in the base game are destroyed, you will be prompted to choose between Dig Bonus and Build Bonus. Each follows a unique set of bonus rules; the only things they have in common are their trigger (blocks cleared), and a limit of 50 levels. 

Occasionally, you may see a row of “Super Bonus” symbols at the bottom row. If the Bonus Pick is activated with these symbols present, the Bonus Round features are vastly improved. 

Dig & Super Dig Bonus

If you choose the Dig Bonus, you will start with 5 free spins and follow a pattern similar to the base game - connect winning combinations to reveal new rows. However, you’ll be able to dig through 50 rows instead of just four, new bonus symbols become unlocked, and whenever you clear 3 rows you’ll receive an extra free spin.

Treasure Chests will randomly spawn on certain blocks. They may add 1-3 coin prizes, upgrade up to three existing coins, spawn up to three wild symbols, or feature up to three Super Orbs. As soon as you collect all three Super Orbs, they’ll stop spawning, and you’ll unlock the Super Dig Bonus. 

In Super Dig Bonus, every third row you unlock will now award +2 free spins and you will start with 10 instead of 5 free spins. 

Build & Super Build Bonus

The Build Bonus is triggered in the same way as the Dig Bonus while its super-version is also activated by collecting three Super Orbs. 

Gameplay-wise, this version is considerably different. The playing field starts empty, and you get three rounds of three symbol drops (in random positions) per turn. All symbols will now connect to form a win as long as the entire row is filled. 

Every win takes you up by one level, increasing the global multiplier on all wins by +1 (up to 50). Treasure chests now contain different bonuses and modifiers - they can drop up to 3 coins (for free), fill up to three rows with random symbols, increase drop count for future spins by +1, or contain Super Orbs. In the Super Build Bonus, you start with 4 rounds of 3 symbol drops instead of 3.

How to Win at Epic Dreams

Each round in Epic Dreams may feature up to 117,649 ways to win.

In my tests, the most consistent method of winning proved to be simply buying the Bonus Round, as it is both inexpensive and holds a much higher lucrative potential than the base game. 

Epic Dreams Slot RTP & Volatility

Epic Dreams stated the RTP of this game is 96.1% while its volatility level is high.

Throughout my tests, I’ve established that the returns are consistent enough to warrant such a high rating, but the volatility is closer to “very high” than “just high”.

To begin with, all Megaways slots are unpredictable; add locked rows into the mix, and each spin will bring you new surprises.

Epic Dreams is a breath of fresh air in the world of Megaways slots. I love its bonus mechanics and the fact that both regular and Super bonuses are purchasable, although I wasn’t overly amused by the regular method of scoring free spins.
