The Fish Hunter from Amazing Games is different from the original video slots.
When the game loads, you’ll be in a lobby with six rooms. Each room has a different point range and associated multiplier. The points refer to the range of bets you can place. Room one has a range of 1pt to 10pts and a 1x multiplier. This means you can spend €1 to €10 on each bullet you use, and prizes are subject to a 1x multiplier. Every room’s range increases from there. The sixth room has a 1000pt to 10,000pt range with a 1000x multiplier.
Place your mouse over the fish you want to shoot when they swim by. Click or press the space button to fire one bullet or hold to fire continuously. There are five canons to choose from with different bullets, discussed in detail later. Invalid bullets that fire into the distance disappear and your bet is returned. You can turn on auto-attack for specific types of fish. You can also lock onto a specific fish before shooting for guaranteed accuracy.
There are 20 types of fish that might swim on screen. Each is worth a different prize. The multiplier listed for any given room is applied to each prize you claim. If you shoot a fish with a 10-credit payout in a room with a 200x multiplier, you’ll win 2000 credits. With this in mind, here are the different fish – and other creatures – you’ll find. These are listed from lowest to highest in value: Damselfish, Gobiidae, Kissfish, Igrationfish, Pufferfish, Heniofish, Argusfish, Brevoortfish, Zaccofish, Butterflyfish, Frogfish, Rajahfish, Malborofish, Siganus, Bluefish, Orientfish, Anglerfish, Tortoise, Atukulasfish, Shark, and Golden Dragon.
Hunting a Damselfish awards a 1.1x credit payout. On the other end of the prize pool, a Golden Dragon awards a 1000x credit payouts at the base multiplier. A reminder that the amount of money you bet refers to how many bullets you shoot. If your bullets fail to hunt a fish before it disappears from the screen, that’s money you have lost. Once a round is complete, you’ll be shown a quick summary. This will highlight your net win. Net wins are determined by subtracting the cost of bullets from the total prizes you collected. You can then transfer rooms, cash out, or switch to another minimap.
There are five cannons available in every room. These are labeled in the same order regardless of the room. There is a 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x cannon. Each cannon has a different type of bullet equipped. The bullets do increase in power as you use higher-number cannons in the lineup. You can choose bullets that are green, blue, purple, fiery orange, or electric pink and blue. Fish with better payouts are harder to kill. If you want to take down a Golden Dragon before it swims away, you’ll need to opt for the most heavy-duty cannon – the 10x.
This is where things get interesting. You have a choice of cannons, bullets, and multipliers. But the multipliers that increase the prizes from fish also increase the cost of each bullet. A 100x multiplier room will increase all fish payouts by 100x. It also moves the price of one bullet from a 10x cannon to 1000x per bullet. It’s up to players to decide how they want to use each cannon. To help you out, the game automatically turns any fish that wouldn’t net you a prize transparent when you opt for more expensive cannons.
The Fish Hunter Return To Player is listed as 96.5% for every fish hunted. This is an interesting figure considering that some amount of skill, timing, and conservatory instincts are needed to play. Perhaps it does not include those who purchase very expensive bullets to kill minor fish or who miss as fish swim off-screen. The volatility of the game is unknown.
