The outcome was Gem Fire Fortune, which is precisely as the title insinuates. It appears as if it takes place inside a smelting chamber, where the gems appearing on the massive 7x7 gaming field are forged into their geometric shapes. Then, the ‘fortune’ element from the title probably relates to its enormous winning potential.

For once, in a long time, the bonus game doesn’t transfer you to a different scene. But a lot of fiery animations when transitioning from the base game to the bonus symbolise an impending explosive experience. Is it true, though? I’ll reveal further below. The final piece of the design is an upbeat victory soundtrack infused with hitting sounds and other thematic effects.

The Concluding Verdict

It’s funny how while some players appreciate complicated slots more, others simply enjoy simplistic ones. In my view, the latter group is about to have a time of their lives going through a straightforward experience, without many mechanics or features to wrap their head around.

So, what do we have in this new Pragmatic Play creation? First of all, it’s inspired by smelting gems into more valuable shapes and sizes. No wonder, the Gem Fire Fortune title. Moreover, hats off to the design team for using premium visuals and sounds that stimulate the imagination of being inside a burning hot smelting chamber.     

Now, feature-wise, I have both reservations and confidence. I would have regarded this game as a distant cousin to the likes of Gates of Olympus (Pragmatic Play catalogue) and Sweet Bonanza (Pragmatic Play catalogue) franchises, were it not for its Cluster Pays engine. In addition to these features, it also includes a tumble feature, random multipliers, free spins, and buy feature options.

For one, it’s not a direct copy of another game (at least, not that I’m aware of). Then again, its undemanding nature makes it a solid option for both newbies and seasoned players. However, the limited features made me question how long you’d have to wait to manage even close to the 15,000 times win cap. However, I suppose the only way to find out is to take a chance on it.
