Majestic Express - Gold Run Slot Review

The Majestic Express - Gold Run Slot Game

Pragmatic Play doesn’t mention that the American frontier inspires this game. However, everything about its design points to the direction of the Wild West: so, I think it's fair to assume that’s precisely where this adventure is taking players.

The reddish background makes the Majestic Express—Gold Run exude a lofty aura. It’s set deep in the middle of a canyon connected by a railroad. A golden steam train attached to golden trolleys filled with golden rocks is evidence of the abundance of gold deposits in the area. I’m pretty sure it's the ‘Majestic Express’.

An explosive, swashbuckling guitar melody tops off the design, making it even more immersive. In the meantime, keep your eyes glued on the 5x4 gameboard in the middle and the bonus prizes to its left.

Symbols and Payouts

What does one need to mine gold successfully? Pickaxes, explosives, trolleys; you name them! They come in handy as part of this slot’s ten regular symbols. While you can’t realistically mine virtual gold nuggets, the symbols should help you formulate wins.

The Majestic Express - Gold Run has 25 paylines. You win when three or more matching symbols appear on adjacent reels along the predefined lines from the leftmost reel.

It’s best to keep up with your payouts from the paytable, which includes the winning combinations and potential wins. For your information, the paytable prizes change based on the selected bet.

The playing card royals are the low-paying symbols. The 10, J, and Q pay 0.2x, 1x, and 2x the bet, while the K and A award 0.4x, 2x, and 4x the stake.

Then, the premium category consists of the following:

• Digging Tools - 1x, 4x, and 12x the stake.
• Gunpowder Barrel - 1x, 4x, and 16x the bet.
• Trolley of Gold - 1.6x, 6x, and 20x the stake.
• Horse - 1.6x, 6x, and 24x the bet.
• Prospector - 2x, 8x, and 30x the stake.

The high-paying symbols in the Majestic Express - Gold Run reward handsomely. However, you should focus more on the substituting wild symbol, scatter, Money, Train Money, Collect, and Super Collect, as they are the specials.

Majestic Express - Gold Run Slot Bonus Features

Your best bet at bull’s-eyeing the 20,000x bet win cap depends on the money collection feature and the free spins. Oh, there’s also a buy feature!

Money Symbol Collection

The Money symbols (Gold Nugget) in the Majestic Express - Gold Run appear on reels 1-4, with a random value between 1x and 15x the bet. Meanwhile, the Collect and Super Collect can only appear on the 5th reel.

The Collect or Super Collect symbols accumulate all the Money or Train Money values whenever they appear alongside each other. Every Train Money symbol value is determined through a train animation of the same colour with a random number of carts, each carrying a random value between 1x to 8x, Mini (20x), Minor (50x), Major (500x), or Grand (5,000x) the bet.

Any Super Collect symbol that hits alongside the Train Money symbols in the Majestic Express - Gold Run determines the train values. A new golden train animation happens with a random number of carts, each having a 1x multiplier. The total multiplier multiplies the amount of all Train Money symbols in view.

Free Spins & Buy Feature

Manage 3 scatters to trigger 10 free spins. This feature also has a Money Symbol Collection, but the free spins cannot be retriggered.

Further, you can instantly trigger the Money Symbol Collection from the base game after paying 100x the bet from the “Buy Feature” option. After buying, a Collect or Super Collect symbol will appear randomly alongside 2 Train Money symbols of different colours.

How to Win at Majestic Express - Gold Run Slot

Playing the Majestic Express - Gold Run slot should be easy-peasy. But, like every online slot, winning here is random and isn’t guaranteed per spin.

So, I recommend setting an ideal bet between the €0.10 and €250 range to limit risking high potential losses. Once done, press the Spin button (crowned circle) or use the Spacebar to ignite the 5-reel and 4-row gameboard.

A win happens when you manage 3 or more matching symbols along the predefined 25 paylines and adjacent reels from the furthest left side.

The Majestic Express - Gold Run also lets you play many rounds continuously using the Autoplay function. Finally, you can speed up the reels using the Quickspin or Turbo options.

Majestic Express - Gold Run Slot RTP & Volatility

When using the bonus buy, the default RTP of 96.50% insignificantly changes to 96.49%. However, the volatility is constantly high, and the top reward is a lucrative 20,000 times the stake!

My Final Thoughts

Who wouldn’t be down for some gold-prospecting adventure? I bet no one! No wonder mining-themed slots are eye-catching within the iGaming community, prompting several gaming studios to tap into the thrilling subject.

However, the more the niche expands, the more copycats and unoriginal experiences it receives. Sadly, the Majestic Express - Gold Run is among the generic ones, as it adopts customary mechanics and features.

First, the Money Symbol Collection is a blueprint for almost all Pragmatic Play games. Second, the free spins don’t offer anything different from the base game, except for the apparent fact that they are free. No wonder the game only has a buy option for the collection feature instead of letting you buy the free spins.

Considering it doesn’t have a lot of features, I couldn’t wrap my head around the possibility of triggering its massive win cap.

On the brighter side, this slot boasts top-quality and immersive graphics and sounds and a wide betting range, which should be ideal for all budgets. So, after gauging the pros and cons, I think it’s up to the task. It probably needed a few more features to make it an indomitable rush adventure!
