Symbols and payouts

The symbols in the Guardian of Athens slot all have a Greek theme - for example, the card suits look like they are made from ornate colored marble. In total, there are 10 basic symbols split into high-tier and low-tier groups. Their payouts are all based on the bet per line.

The low-tier group contains different card suits. The 10, J, and Q all have the same lowest multiplier of 5x for 3x symbols, and 25x for 5x symbols. Next, the K and A both have a 10x multiplier for 3x symbols and a 40x multiplier for 5x symbols.

The high-tier symbols are different artifacts from ancient Greece. The golden dagger and golden owl statue have a maximum multiplier of 60x for 5x symbols. Next, the golden warrior helmet and gold coins have an 80x and 100x multiplier for 5x symbols respectively. Finally, the top-paying symbol is the golden cup surrounded by treasure. If you get 5x of this symbol, you get a multiplier of 150x!

This game also features a wild symbol that is a golden shield. This can appear on reels 1 to 5, and substitutes for everything except the scatter. Also, it has a multiplier too that ranges from 1x to 5x. If two or more wilds appear in a winning combo, their different multipliers are multiple together!

Best Guardian of Athens bonus feature

The best Guardian of Athens bonus feature is the fate bonus. This is a selection of Guardian of Athens free spins and is triggered via the temple scatter symbol. You must get 3 scatter symbols to trigger the fate bonus, and the scatters only appear on reels 2, 3, and 4.

Once the fate bonus is active, you can choose from 1 of four different bonuses:
