The It’s a Joker slot is Felix Gaming’s attempt at sending a shiver down its players’ spines. It has clearly been influenced by Stephen King’s iconic IT story, with a villainous clown being the central antagonist and the action taking place down a drain. There is even a little paper boat floating around as another visual nod.  

The gameplay itself is kept simple. The action takes place over 5 reels and 3 rows, with just five fixed paylines active. The minimum amount a player can wager in the game is €0.25 and the maximum is €60. This isn’t a terrible range, though, it is probably going to be more suited to those who like to play with a higher budget. Symbols and Payouts 

Outside of the creepy, Pennywise-inspired clown, the rest of the symbols in the slot are all of the classic fruit-machine variety. All symbols pay x the total stake and they only pay for combinations of three. The clown pays out 16x the stake, the mystery boxes with a clown payout 10x, while three mystery boxes pay out 5x. The seven, grapes, and cherries are next, paying out 4x, 3x, and 1.4x respectively. The lemon and the plum then drop more paying out 1.2 and 1x. Finally, the oranges and the bells are the lowest, paying out just 0.8x and 0.4x your stake.

Best It's a Joker Bonus Feature

The It’s a Joker bonus features aren’t anything too special but they do keep you involved in the game. At the side of the reels, there are two single reels, the right side rewards free spins, and the left side rewards a multiplier. The maximum amount of It’s a Joker free spins that can be won is 5, while the maximum multiplier that can be applied to a win is 25. These may not be huge, but we did find that the free spins were rewarded on a fairly regular basis.  

An extra wild can also be added to proceedings. This will be added to the middle reel and if you land three of them across your reels you can win up to 25x your stake.  

RTP & Volatility

The It’s a Joker RTP is listed as 96.98%. This is slightly above average and should help the slot attract some extra players. Felix has also listed the game as 4 out of 5 for volatility, which is highly volatile. This was largely reflected in our experience playing for this It’s a Joker slot review. We found wins difficult to come by but when they did occur, they were typically with a good multiplier amount. We did find that we were given a lot of free spins during the game, though, many of them led nowhere.
