Thrilling story |
As I noted before, this release takes place in a dense forest in Siberia where people rarely pass. The design team at Peter & Sons has captured that atmosphere well through the background image, where you will see thick trees with thick canopies and lots of greenery.
What makes the background image even more fun is the presence of the animated Peter Hunter, a slightly fat man with a thick mustache, a rifle in his hands, a hunting hat on his head, a pipe in his mouth, and a ton of equipment on his back. Additionally, you can see animated dragonflies, frogs, and empty bottles.
As for the gameboard, the reels are made of wooden boards surrounded by planks. It's good that some detailed symbols are animated, making the design more alive.
Although the story takes place in Siberia, we can hear modified country music in which the banjo is the main instrument for some reason. We didn't expect this kind of soundtrack, but it fits in well. The sounds go beyond the simple effects I'm used to and include more complexity and originality.
This allowed me to fully immerse myself in the story when I played the Peter Hunter demo on GoodLuckMate.
Are you ready to hunt down (or should we say spin in?) matching symbols? Thanks to the Peter Hunter online slot, you'll get to hit combos of different kinds. The paying ones are associated with the ten regular symbols and the Wild. This time, the Scatter is non-paying but leads you to other rewards.
When I mention that the five playing card values in earthy colors (10 to Ace) are the low-paying regular symbols, I can see your unsurprised facial expression. They provide 0.15 to 6 times the player's bet.
On the other hand, the high-paying ones look like wild animals. The Duck offers 0.5 to 10 times the stake, while the Fox provides 0.6 to 15 times the bet. We also have the Moose delivering 0.8 to 20 times the total stake and the Bear promising 1 to 30 times the wager to the luckiest users. Remember that the Wild pays the same prizes as the Bear.
The size of rewards depends on the bet amount, which this time goes as low as €0.2 and as high as €50 per round. Of course, there's also a max win limit. In this case, it's slightly higher than usual – 1,000x the bet.
Hunters have trophies, and slot players have bonuses. Fortunately, the Peter Hunter bonus features go above the regular ones we are all used to seeing in standard slots.
Don't let the name of this special feature confuse you. It's available during Peter Hunter free play too. So, whenever the Target (Scatter) symbols appear on the grid, the wild animals become Cash icons. The animals move in the direction of the scatter and reveal multipliers on their path. Once they reach the Scatter, Peter takes a shot and gathers the values.
Another thing happens when a Scatter shows up on the gameboard. Each Scatter is collected to a counter displayed above the gameboard. Once you gather seven Scatters, you'll receive a round of 5 Peter Hunter free spins.
Instead of the standard grid, they are played on a 5x5 grid. Players receive additional free spins when new Scatters show up. Also, on each free spin, you will see one Scatter and one of the wild animals. They act like in the case of the Cash Collect feature (they go towards the Scatter).
However, if Peter hits a traveling high-pay icon this time, the value gets boosted by the hunter's multiplier. A miss will put the symbol in another position. Regardless of the outcome, the Cash icons will always reach the Scatter, and you'll be rewarded.
If your marksman skills have failed you, there's always a chance to pay to get the bonus feature. You can purchase a free spins round through the Bonus Buy feature.
Shooting winning combos at the Peter Hunter slot game is as easy as 3, 4, 5. That's right, that's the number of identical regular symbols (or a Wild) you need on one of the 20 fixed paylines of this game to get rewarded. The first symbol of the combo must be positioned on the leftmost reel and the others on the adjacent reels.
The hunting takes place on 5 reels supported by 3 rows. As noted, the grid grows to 5 reels and 5 rows during free spins.
You will figure out how to play this game right away, but I'll mention it anyway. So, the pink circle with two white pointers on the right is the slot's play button that you have to click on to activate a round and get a chance to win.
Regarding these two technical things, I first noticed the low volatility. I couldn't find any other Peter & Sons slot with low volatility, so this is probably something new for this provider. On the other hand, the Peter Hunter RTP is96.3%, more than decent.
I know I should expect something fun when I launch a Peter & Sons slot. In the past, I could recognize their titles from a mile, thanks to their unique artwork and music. With the Peter Hunter slot, they have taken this originality to another level by including innovative bonus features.
The Cash Collect feature can be pretty rewarding and adds thrill, thanks to the movement of the wild animals on the grid. There's also a round of free spins that don't follow the standard pattern.
The RTP is above average, and for some reason, the creators decided to make a low-volatility title which means more frequent wins with relatively low values in theory.
My advice to all players is to give this virtual hunting adventure a try.
