How to play

The Pixie Gold video slot has a simple set up and you can easily change the bet value. Simply click on the coin icon next to the spin button. You can then drag the slider to select your line value. The minimum line value is €0.01, and the maximum is €10. This results in a minimum bet of €0.50, and a maximum bet of €500. This makes the game perfect for both low spenders and high rollers.

In terms of configuration, this game has four basic reels, and each reel has four rows. However, there are an additional four reels on the outside (two on either side), that have three rows in each reel. These are centered and bridge all four rows of the main reel block.

If you want to set the game running, there is also a simple autoplay feature. This is accessed via the settings button. You can drag the slider to select the number of spins between 0 to 10. Symbols and payouts

Pixie Gold has 10 basic symbols in the standard paytable. These are 9, J, K, Q, an acorn, a magic satchel, a yellow ladybird, a snail, a mushroom house, and the pixie king himself. The lowest paying symbols are the 9 and J - these have a minimum payout multiplier of 10x for three symbols. Alternatively, of the lower-paying symbols, the King and Queen have the highest payout of 50x for five symbols.

Of the higher paying symbols, the Pixie King is the single highest paying symbol in the game. If you get five of these symbols, you earn a fantastic payout multiplier of 250x. 

Aside from the basic symbols, there is also the wild pixie special symbol. This is a wild symbol and can appear on any reels during basic spins. This symbol does not have its own payout, but it substitutes for all symbols except the special king star.

There is also the special King Star symbol which triggers the bonus pixie spin round which we have described in the section below.

Best Pixie Gold bonus feature

The best Pixie Gold bonus feature is the Pixie Spin. This is essentially a Pixie Gold free spins feature that is triggered by the king star symbol. At the bottom of the reels, a magical carriage travels along and stops at different positions. If a King Star symbol appears in a column directly above where the carriage has stopped, the pixie spin is triggered.

During the pixie spin, a new reel setup is used consisting of five reels and eight individual columns. During the pixie spin free spin, a wild pixie symbol is added to the second and third reels which increases your chances of winning. Also, a lucky symbol is chosen at random to be added to the reelfecta reel. 

Finally, during these free spins, the K symbol is substituted for the King Star symbol which means you can win additional pixie spins during the free spin round. 

RTP & volatility

The Pixie Gold RTP (Return to Player) is 95.42% which is decent and between the averages for video games at online casinos of between 95-96%. Lightning Box has not published any information regarding the volatility of this slot. However, the highest wins will come from the reelflecta feature and the additional pixie spins on the bonus reels.
