How to Play

The set-up of the game is what we’ve come to expect from Felix Gaming. The design is similar to other Chinese-themed titles. It boasts a dark red color scheme, with the reels being bordered by columns with a dragon wrapped around them. The slot itself is designed to look like some sort of entranceway, with lanterns lighting up the background.  

Getting to grips with the gameplay is easy enough. Players need to first select their stake. The game has 20 adjustable paylines and you will need to choose how many you want to have active for each spin. As well as this, you will need to choose your bet per line and the value of your bet. The lowest you can stake is just €0.01 if you have just one line active and €60 if you have all 20 lines active. The slot also has a standard autoplay feature which allows players to take up to 100 spins.  

Symbols and Payouts 

There are a total of nine symbols that you will encounter on the reels here. The red lion wild symbol is the highest paying in the game. As well as substituting all other symbols to make winning combinations, it can also pay out 50x your stake for combinations of five, 25x for combinations of four, 5x for three, and 1x for two. The slot also has a scatter symbol that launches the Red Lion free-spin round, and another one that looks like a frog which triggers the bonus round.  

The second highest paying symbol is the turtle, which pays 37.5x your stake for five. A fan and some golden hats pay 20x and 12.5x respectively. The royal symbols are then split into pairs. The Ace and King pay out 5x your stake for five, while the Queen and Jack are the lowest paying symbols. They pay 3.75x for five, 1x for four, and 0.25x for three.  

Best Red Lion Bonus Feature

There are several Red Lion bonus features that players can take advantage of. The first one you are bound to notice is the expanding wild. The Red Lion himself acts as the wild, and he can expand to fill entire reels. If he appears across all five reels, you can land a payout of 20,000x your stake. This is also available in both the base game and the bonus rounds.  

Next up is the free spins mode. This is triggered when you land three or more of the yin-yang scatter symbols. Three will trigger 10, four will trigger 25, and five will trigger 50. It is also possible to retrigger more free spins during this round. During the round itself, two scatters will reward two extra free spins.  

The final bonus feature in the game is the pick-a-chest bonus. This is launched when you land three of the frog symbols. This is a standard pick-me feature where players choose from chests containing prizes. The maximum that can be won here is 50x your stake.
