How to Play

SugarLand looks as though a candy store exploded all across your screen. Just playing this slot is enough to give you a cavity. Everything here is very bright and colorful, with the reels themselves looking like they are coated in jelly. To change the stake, you will need to use the +/- buttons, which, of course, are made to look like pieces of candy. The minimum you can wager in the game is €0.25, while the maximum is €50. The slot also features the standard autospin feature, which will spin until you stop it. The fact you can’t adjust the settings for this is a little bit of a nuisance though.

Symbols and Payouts 

As a general piece of advice, it’s probably best to avoid playing this video slot if you are on a diet. All of the symbols are designed to look absolutely scrumptious, and they definitely achieve that. The two highest paying symbols in the game are the only ones that don’t look like food. The star is the highest, paying out 100x for five, 20x for four, 6x for three, and 2x for two. The number seven also pays out the same values, except it doesn’t pay out for two symbols.  

Next, there is a cherry, a lemon and a piece of pineapple. These payout 20x for a combination of five. The lowest paying symbols are grapes, blueberries, and orange. They also pay 20x for five, then they pay 5x for four, and 2x for three.  

Best SugarLand Bonus Feature

There are two main SugarLand bonus features to take advantage of here. The one you are likely to encounter the most is the wild symbol, which is a donut. Not only does the wild substitute for all other symbols, but it also turns the symbols immediately around it into wilds in a donut pattern. If you manage to land two or three wilds on the reel from the initial spin, then this can very quickly fill the reels up and provide a big payout.  

The other bonus is a fairly standard free spins round. In order to trigger this, you need to land three or more of the ‘free games’ symbols on the reels. The symbol can only appear on the middle three reels and when it lands, you will get 5 SugarLand free spins, which is not a huge amount. There is no information in the game as to whether or not they can be retriggered.

RTP & Volatility

During our trial-play for this SugarLand slot review, we found that wins were fairly difficult to come by in the slot. This is reflected in its 5/5 volatility rating from Felix Gaming. The SugarLand RTP is also a little lower than the average at 94.44%.
