Nolimit City sets this new game in a shadowy burial ground that seems to have never seen sunlight. The bottom of the screen features a purple haze, while cracked skulls, tombstones, and other skeletal decor hang around the reels. The scenery doesn’t change much during the bonus rounds.
A familiar glowing eyeball perched above The Crypt 2 grid presides over the reels, occasionally casting its eerie gaze to the action below. The soundtrack leans into that idea too, featuring ghostly sounds and clanging bells. It proves that even in the afterlife, some legends refuse to stop rocking.
The slot runs on a 6-reel, 7-row platform with three locked rows at the top, and up to 531,441 ways to win. The rest of the game interface features only a few controls to ease accessibility and navigation.
The paytable includes 12 regular symbols, split into low- and high-paying categories. Each of the symbols pays when you hit 3 or more identical symbols on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel to the right.
Any winning symbols will explode and be removed, allowing new symbols to fall into place and potentially award additional wins per spin. However, symbols in locked positions don’t drop during cascades.
The 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A card ranks are the low-paying symbols in The Crypt 2, and they’re worth 0.1x to 0.75x the bet.
Then, the high-paying category features Dead Legends in Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Brown, and Red frames that award between 0.2x and 2.5x the bet. Lastly, the wilds in the game help to substitute for all regular symbols in winning combinations.
Some features from the original, such as xNudge Wild and xWays, have been reused. But others, like the Forsaken Fingers and Eye Collector, are new.
When this symbol lands in The Crypt 2, it gradually nudges downwards to become a stacked multiplier wild. Each nudge increases the xNudge Wild multiplier, and the value depends on how many symbols it nudges to reach the bottom row. The multipliers are additive and apply only to wins involving the xNudge Wild.
A mystery symbol which holds 2-3 identical symbols inside and expands the reels up to 9 symbols high, awarding up to 531,441 ways. Multiple xWays symbols may land in a single spin, all of which reveal the same symbol.
This symbol unlocks the nearest position on the locked rows of its reel and any adjacent reels, if present, before becoming wild.
The lowest-paying Dead Legend symbol has 1 eye, while all others have 2 eyes. The Eye Collector collects eyes from Dead Legends in The Crypt 2 active reel area. Every 5 eyes collected increases the total win by 1, then the collected eye becomes wild.
Meanwhile, the Spider is activated when an Eye Collector is present, randomly generating 4, 8, or 12 eyes that the Eye Collector collects. It then converts into a wild.
Manage at least 3 scatters to trigger this bonus, where any scatter may upgrade to a Red Moon scatter. Every scatter award +2 spins, and each Red Moon scatter award +3 spins. Each progression level has a Dead Legend symbol that must collect 4 gems to advance to the next level.
On the first level, all Dead Legends on the reels will have the same number of eyes as in the base game. Each level upgrade doubles the number of eyes for the Dead Legend of that level, and awards +2 spins. Unblocked positions from Forsaken Fingers and the total win multiplier persist between spins.
The Crypt 2 has five bonus boost options:
Finally, you can instantly trigger 6, 8, or 10 Entombed Spins, or try the Lucky Draw for 80x, 200x, 500x, and 254x the bet, respectively.
This game is a sprawling 6-reel, 7-row platform that can expand up to 531,441 ways to win. In short, you can only win when you manage identical symbols on at least 3 adjacent reels from the furthest left column to the right.
Winning symbols disappear, leaving room for new ones from above to occupy the empty positions. If you’re lucky, new winning combinations may form and trigger a chain of wins in a single spin.
The Crypt 2 allows players to wager between €0.20 and €100, which is ideal for the high spenders.
If you’re comfortable with the range, pick an ideal amount from the bet selection panel, and then press Spin for a single spin. Or, you can use autoplay to set several auto-spins, sit back, and watch as the action unfolds automatically. Either way, keep in mind that wins are randomised by an RNG (Random Number Generator).
The default RTP here is 96.10%, but it can vary with jurisdiction or if you use certain boosters and buy options. Meanwhile, it's highly volatile, with a 20.26% hit frequency and a monstrous top win of 31,248x the bet.
If this video slot proves anything, it’s that Nolimit City still enjoys throwing players into slightly questionable places, as if testing their bravery. The sequel digs up the world first introduced in The Crypt and adds a few extra shovelfuls of chaos for good measure. The atmosphere is grim with a purple mist, cracked skulls, ominous bells, and gloomy stage décor.
From a gameplay perspective, The Crypt 2 definitely has plenty going on. First, the 6x7 reels can expand to 531,441 ways to win. Then, features like xNudge Wild, xWays, Forsaken Fingers, and the Eye Collector system give each game round the potential to become something unexpected.
Still, a few things are worth considering before plunging yourself into the undead atmosphere. The high volatility can slow down sessions, and some mechanics may overwhelm players who prefer simpler slots. As if that’s not enough, the pricey boosters and bonus buys are definitely not within the casual territory.
Regardless, when everything aligns, from multipliers, cascades, to unlocked rows, the game can feel like a riot by producing wins up to a significant 31,248x the bet. So, it’s entertaining and packed with modern mechanics, making it worth playing. But be careful. The graveyard isn’t for the faint-hearted.
