How to Deposit With Invoice Payments

If you want to deposit to an online casino by invoice payments, your only option to do so will most likely be the pay-by-phone method. This is a quick and easy way to load your casino account with additional funds that will, later on, be paid by you through your mobile phone bill.

There are several payment service providers out there that support this feature. The most popular ones are:

  • Boku
  • Zimpler
  • Dotay
  • Siru Mobile
  • Pay by Phone

To initiate a deposit, you must navigate to the cashier section of the casino in question and select the "Pay by phone" or “Invoice payments” option you would like to use. At this point, you will be asked to enter the amount you wish to pay, as well as your mobile phone number. Then click on 'Deposit', and you will have one more stage to go through before your funds reach the casino account.

In most cases, you’ll receive a text message asking you to confirm that you really want to make the deposit. When you receive the message, you will only have to answer "Y" for "Yes", and the transaction will be completed.

Alternatively, the casino can send you a confirmation shortcode. You just have to enter this code in the box that will appear on the casino screen, and you are ready to play.

Please keep in mind that there are several payment service providers out there for invoice payments, as previously mentioned. Some of them might require you to set up an account through their website or app before you can use them. However, the steps you must follow afterwards are similar to what we laid out above.

How to Withdraw When Using Invoice Payments

The issue of withdrawals is somewhat more complicated when it comes to invoice payments. At the moment, no casino that we know of allows you to make a withdrawal to your phone.

This is due to technical limitations, as it is not possible to add funds or credits to your phone bill. Although we would all be delighted to get a discount on our mobile bill, most casino players expect to have a few more options when it comes to withdrawing their funds.

As we cannot use the invoice payment service to withdraw money, we will have to choose an alternative withdrawal method. It is possible to make withdrawals by credit or debit card, or by bank transfer.

If you don't want to send any financial information to the casino, the last option is to request a withdrawal by check – but you will have to wait for that check to be processed and sent, which can take a couple of weeks. Furthermore, checks are not available anymore in most online casinos.

How to Verify Your Account

Most options that allow you to facilitate invoice payments in online casinos, such as pay by phone, do not require you to set up an account. Therefore, it is not necessary to verify your identity.

There are some exceptions. For example, Zimpler just created a new eWallet called ZimplerGO that is popular amongst Swedish and Finnish players.

If you would like to take advantage of the additional features of this wallet, you will have to verify your identity and place of residency. This can be done quickly by using “Bank ID” which is available to players from the above-mentioned countries.

Limits and Fees

One of the biggest drawbacks when it comes to invoice payments and pay-by-phone options is the relatively small limits compared to other payment methods. The exact amount you’ll be able to deposit per transaction or per month can vary depending on the online casino, your place of residency, and your mobile provider. This can be limited to as little as €29 per transaction

It highly depends on the online casino if you’ll be charged any transaction fees for making a deposit via invoice payment. For the most part, this service can be used free of charge. But, some providers might impose a small flat fee of around €1 per transaction or a percentage fee of up to 10%.

Now, the flat fee doesn’t sound much, but it can quickly add up since it is quite high relative to the small transaction size. Please be aware that you will have to use an alternative withdrawal method such as a wire transfer that might result in additional fees.

Invoice Payments Bonus at Online Casinos

Every player wants to take advantage of the wide array of welcome offers and deposit bonuses found in almost every online casino. This can be very lucrative, as you will be able to play with additional bonus funds or free spins.

Most of the promotions will also be available when you are making a deposit via invoice payments. However, we highly recommend that you go through the bonus terms and the T&Cs of the online casino first.

In some cases, certain kinds of deposit methods will not be eligible for taking advantage of promotions. Unfortunately, this oftentimes includes pay-by-phone options, as online casinos have to pay relatively high transaction fees for them.

But this isn’t necessarily true for all online casinos and the good news is that there are still plenty of online casino bonuses to choose from.
