How to deposit with prepaid payments

Before you can make a deposit with one of the prepaid payment options, you have to obtain a prepaid credit card or voucher card. Voucher cards like Paysafecard can be purchased in many gas stations or supermarkets across the globe. You can buy them in different sizes loaded with around €10 to €100. There are also some online shops selling this type of voucher card.

Most voucher cards have a numerical code on them that you can enter through the cashier section of an online casino. Your funds will be available right after you confirmed the transaction. If you don't use up the entire value of your voucher card in the same purchase, don't worry. The unused money remains stored on your coupon for future payments. Usually, it is even possible to combine several voucher codes for a single payment.

Prepaid credit cards can often be found at similar outlets as, for example, the Paysafecard. Making a deposit works exactly the same as it would with a regular credit card. You simply have to visit the cashier of the casino and choose the amount you would like to deposit. Pick credit cards as a payment method and enter your card details as normal. This includes the card number and the expiry date. You also have to enter your name and confirm the transaction with the CVC code that can be found at the back of the card within the signature strip. Same as the voucher cards, you don’t have to use up all the available funds in one transaction.

How to withdraw to prepaid payments

Withdrawals can be a bit of a tricky topic when it comes to prepaid payments at online casinos. Not all prepaid credit cards and voucher cards are exactly the same. For example, there is a possibility to send your winnings back to your Paysafecard voucher code. The problem, however, is that you need to set up an account at the Paysafecard website first and the vast majority of online casinos do not support this service at all.

The same is true for prepaid credit cards. Some of them allow you to set up an account that makes it possible to withdraw funds back to your prepaid card while most of them don’t offer that option at all.

Even if there is an option to send your money back to your prepaid payment option, it is usually not a good choice as it comes with relatively high fees. The better alternative for most prepaid cards (and more often than not the only option) is to request a withdrawal to your bank account via a wire transfer. You simply have to visit the cashier of the casino and select the corresponding withdrawal method. Then, you have to enter your banking details (your name, bank, IBAN, and BIC) and the withdrawal amount you would like to make to confirm the transaction.

How to verify your account

Most prepaid payment methods that are available in online casinos do not require any verification at all. Neither is it necessary to set up an account in the first place. However, there is a wide variety of options available, and some of them allow you to connect your voucher cards or prepaid credit card to an account. Be aware that, if you are transferring large amounts of money over that payment account, you might be asked to verify your details at some point.

Many players value the anonymity of voucher cards and if you connect them to a specially designed account under your name this defeats the purpose. If this doesn’t bother you, then that’s no problem at all. Most verifications of this type require a form of ID (ID card, passport, or driver's license) and proof of address (for example, a recent utility bill).

Limits and fees

Whether there are any deposit limits on the prepaid payment option depends on the type of deposit method. Usually, the limits for prepaid credit cards are the same as for standard credit cards. For the most part, these limits are relatively high compared to other payment methods. Almost all casinos allow you to deposit more than €1,000 per transaction. The maximum deposit limit per transaction can be considerably lower than that amount for some of the voucher cards. This depends on the type of voucher you are using and it varies from casino to casino.

Prepaid credit cards have the same advantages in online casinos as regular cards. They benefit from extremely low transaction fees, for example. Most sites don’t charge you at all for card payments. In most cases, voucher cards can be used without any additional fees as well. If any fees were to be deducted from your deposit this would be clearly indicated before you confirm the transaction. You should also note that most voucher cards have a small fee attached to them when initially purchasing them from a vendor.

Prepaid payments bonus at online casinos

A big advantage of playing at an online casino is the welcome bonus. Bonuses come in different shapes and sizes. That makes playing at an online casino particularly interesting. A casino bonus is, therefore, also an important part of any good online casino. You should always look out for lucrative welcome bonuses, as this can get you a nice amount of bonus cash with which to play. Almost all prepaid payment options will qualify for the majority of bonus offers in most online casinos. However, we always recommend checking out the bonus terms and the general terms and conditions to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
