If you want to play a traditional game of video poker with a twist, Aces and Faces by Tangente is a great choice.
We like the simple and uncluttered layout of Tangente games. They are all easy to follow and understand. Aces and Faces has a modern layout and you can clearly see the game controls and a list of all the potential winning hands. This makes it easy to select which cards to hold whilst playing.
You can change three parameters for the bet value. The number of coins, the value of each coin, and the number of lines (lines represent hands). You can select from 1 to 25 lines which means you can play with up to 25 poker hands if you feel up to the challenge.
Also, you can change the coin value from 1 to 5, and finally, the coin value from 1 to 5000. As a result, the bet value has great variance and ranges from a minimum of €1.00 to a crazy maximum of €625,000! With the bet value selected, you are then dealt five cards (or more depending on how many lines you selected). You can then choose to hold or discard each card to try and create a winning hand.

Aces and Faces uses the standard hands of poker, although there are some variations. The variations are that four aces and four picture cards (faces - queen, king, jack), have a higher payout than usual. The following are the different hand combinations available:
Jacks or better has the lowest payout of 1x your bet value, whereas the royal flush is always the top paying hand and gives a fantastic multiplier of 500x based on your bet value. Four aces give 80x, whilst four face cards give a 40x multiplier.
The Aces and Faces bonus feature comes in the form of a double or nothing extra round. This is activated whenever you gain a winning hand. After a winning hand, an option to double or collect appears - if you collect, you simply collect your winnings and play the next hand.
However, if you choose to double, you are presented with a new screen and 5x playing cards. The first card is face-up - the other four are face down. You must select one of the four cards - if you select a card that is higher than the face-up card, you double your winnings! However, if you select a card that is lower, you lose everything including your initial winnings!
As you can see, this has the potential for some great rewards, however, it is also risky! If you choose correctly, you can also try to double your winnings again which adds even more risk!
Tangente has a decent set of arcade and card games that all have OK RTP percentages. Aces and Faces continues this trend and the Aces and Faces RTP is 98.51%. This is above the industry average and it is also pretty good for video poker games - although there are titles that offer RTPs of 99% or higher. There is currently no volatility info available for this card game, however.
