The grid is made up of six reels and six rows, though the reels do not spin in a traditional sense. Instead, symbols fall into place and whenever players score a win, a cascade payment system is triggered. This sees winning symbols replaced with news ones. Symbols and Payouts 

The Cool Jewels video slot is very different from normal slots in that it doesn’t matter what symbols you land. The pay per symbol meter at the left-hand side of the reels will keep track of your payments for each combination. Every time a player lands a winning combination of four or more symbols, it will add ‘slices’ to the pay meter to help you move up. There are 12 total sections in the pay meter, each with a different number of slices required to advance. Whenever you land a win, which consists of four matching symbols, it will pay out whatever the total is that is specified in the pay meter. The main Cool Jewels bonus features are focused on the wild symbols. There are four different types of wilds in the game, each of which is designed to help players secure a big win. The shocking wild will destroy all four lines from its center diagonally, the unstable wild will destroy all icons that are around it, while the shattering wild will destroy all symbols that are horizontal and vertical from its center.  

Finally, there is the Persisting Wild, which is created as a result of two wilds combining. This has the quality of the unstable wild but they do not explode until they are at the bottom of the grid or at the end of a winning cascade, effectively providing you with one last chance. You will need to use the wilds to destroy four or more of the game’s logo symbols to unlock the round, which can be quite tricky. Four symbols will trigger eight free spins, five will trigger 10, while six and seven will get 15 and 20 respectively. The Cool Jewels free spins will take place on an alternate set of reels but the only real difference is the value in the pay meter will stay the same as it was on the spin that triggered the round.
