The Disorder Slot Game

Nolimit City is no stranger to disturbing subjects, having explored grim topics many times before. According to the studio, this video slot explores the story of a devoted father, loyal husband, and pillar of routine.

Unfortunately, the order collapsed into chaos, and while it hasn’t been explicitly mentioned, the ‘faces smiling but forever gone’ tag could mean that he murdered his one beautiful family.

The Disorder game starts with a warning of disturbing content. Then it displays a beautiful family portrait before showing a house with a car and a swimming pool in the background. In short, a display of success. However, chaotic scenes take over when you enter the bonus rounds, showing just how something good can turn dark in the blink of an eye.

Symbols and Payouts

The gameplay uses a 6-reel, 4-3-4-3-4-3 rows layout, featuring 1,728 winning ways. Further, it includes 10 regular symbols categorised as Household (low-paying) and Family (high-paying). All symbols include four levels of deterioration, determined by the game phase.

A winning combination in Disorder is formed when 3 or more identical symbols pay on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel to the right.

The Household symbols include the Camera, Telephone, Radio, Television, and Refrigerator. They pay 0.05x to 0.3x, 0.1x to 0.45x, 0.1x to 0.6x, 0.2x to 0.75x, and 0.2x to 0.9x the bet, respectively.

Then, the Family symbols include the Dog, Daughter, Son, Wife, and John (Husband). These are worth 0.25x to 1.05x, 0.25x to 1.2x, 0.3x to 1.35x, 0.3x to 1.5x, and 0.5x to 3x the stake, respectively.

Disorder also features a cascading engine that removes the paying symbols and fills the empty positions with new symbols from above. The cascades recur as long as new winning combinations are formed. All Wild symbols replace all regular-paying symbols to help complete winning combinations.

Disorder Slot Bonus Features

The mammoth of features available here should make you almost forget the disturbing scenes beneath. Let’s unhinge all of them.

Fire Frames

The Fire Frames randomly appear on the Disorder reels, and any symbol that lands in them will split into 2 parts (up to 16 parts). If a Bonus symbol appears within a Fire Frame, it becomes a Super Bonus symbol.

Enhancer Cells

These are at the bottom of the even-numbered reels. The Enhancer Cell on reel 2 activates when 4 Fire Frames appear, then those on reels 2 and 4 activate with 7 Fire Frames, and those on reels 2, 4 and 6 activate with 9 Fire Frames. After activating the 6th reel Enhance Cell, every 2 additional Fire Frames will reactivate all Enhancer Cells, which can reveal:

  • Molotov: Splits a random regular paying symbol into up to 16 instances, and converts itself into the selected symbol.
  • Delusion: Transforms itself and all the instances of a random paying symbol into the highest paying symbol on the Disorder reels.
  • Paranoia Multiplier: Adds between 1x and 999x to the win multiplier, which applies to all the wins after its reveal. It also converts itself into a wild symbol.
  • Nuclear Wild: Transforms all the regular paying symbols on the reels and itself into a wild symbol.
  • xBomb: Removes all the non-winning regular symbols, triggering a cascade before win evaluation. However, if any winning symbol also exists in a non-winning position, it’ll not be removed. It also turns into a wild symbol, increasing the win multiplier by 1x.
  • Family Symbol: One of the family symbols.

Bonus Mode

The number of spins awarded in the bonus mode depends on the triggering symbols–every bonus symbol and super bonus symbol awards +2 and +3 spins, respectively. The rule applies both in the triggering spin and the bonus. The Fire Frames are also more likely to appear in the bonus mode, but the Disorder base game multipliers don’t spill into the bonus.

Obsessive Compulsive Spins

Manage 3 bonus symbols and at most 1 super bonus symbol to trigger 6+ spins of this feature. Landing 2 or 3 super bonus symbols will upgrade the feature to Antisocial Personality Spins. Meanwhile, 4 super bonus symbols will upgrade to Severe Dissociative Identity Spins. The win multiplier and Fire Frames reset after every spin.

Antisocial Personality Spins

Land 3 bonus symbols and at most 2 super bonus symbols for 8+ spins of this feature. Meanwhile, 2 super bonus symbols during the feature upgrade it to Severe Dissociative Identity Spins. The win multiplier doesn’t reset here.

Severe Dissociative Identity Spins

Hit 4 super bonus symbols to trigger this feature, whereby the Fire Frames remain sticky. But the win multiplier doesn’t reset during the feature.

Extra Spin

The Disorder slot features a chance to buy another spin at the end of the Antisocial Personality Spins or Severe Dissociative Identity Spins. The extra spin maintains the win multiplier and Fire Frames (if sticky) of the previous spin.

Nolimit Booster & Bonus Buys

The gameplay also features boosters for different features:

  • Bonus Booster: For 2x the bet, you’re more likely to activate the bonus mode.
  • Fire Booster: For 4x the stake, you increase your chances of hitting more Fire Frames compared to the base game. You’re also more likely to trigger the bonus mode.
  • Enhancer Booster: For 15x the stake, you’re guaranteed 9 Fire Frames and more Fire Frames may land in upcoming spins. You’re also more likely to activate the bonus mode.

Finally, the bonus buy allows you to buy the Obsessive Compulsive, Antisocial Personality, Severe Dissociative Identity, or a random draw for 80x, 300x, 800x, and 370x the bet.

How to Win at Disorder Slot

By now, you should be aware that this 6-reel slot features a 4-3-4-3-4-3 layout and 1,728 ways to win. When playing, winning combinations will occur when 3 or more identical symbols appear on adjacent reels from left to right, starting from the furthest left column.

An avalanche starts after all wins are paid, removing the winning symbols and replacing them with new ones from above. The avalanche continues as long as new winning combinations are formed.

The betting range in Disorder starts from €0.20 to €100.

Pick a preferred wager amount and press the Spin button to ignite a single game round. Otherwise, you can use the Autoplay function to start several spins automatically. The Turbo function should speed up the reels when activated.

Disorder Slot RTP & Volatility

The slot’s RTP of 96.11% is pretty decent, as it’s above the industry’s average. However, the gameplay is highly volatile, with a 25.95% hit frequency. The maximum amount you can win here is 23,500 times your bet.

The Final Verdict

After creating Mental, Nolimit City followed it up with Mental 2, making the studio a mastermind at creating psychotic games. Huh! Typical Nolimit. While the subject in question is sensitive, it resonates much with slot fans, prompting the studio to make Disorder! I hope it’s also a way for the iGaming industry to raise awareness of the rising mental health cases worldwide.

This game is straightforward, focusing on a regular, successful lifestyle that goes south due to something dark. The only remaining memory is the family’s portrait with smiling faces. Imagine, even the dog became depressed.

Now, some players may find the subject disturbing. However, if you overlook the sensitive subject matter and focus on the gameplay, it’s where the slot’s hidden gem hides. In short, the game packs a lineup of thrilling modifiers, mechanics, and features that should keep you hooked to your screen and looking forward to more spins.

Just remember that it’s a highly volatile experience with high bets alone. Moreover, even though you can buy some features, some are costly. Regardless, I’m sure that this game will stand the test of time like its counterparts mentioned above.
