Have you ever paused to ask what wild animals do whenever they aren’t hunting prey or running from predators? While most might think of them hibernating and enjoying the calm of the wild, Thunderkick believes otherwise.

If you’ve played games from Thunderkick before, then you should know how the company invests in creating fun games. This time, it opted for a rave graced by animals instead of animals.
And if you thought the animals couldn’t pull off a fully-fledged event with towering speakers and a hyped audience, you were wrong. They’re all gathered to witness the main act, DJ Lion, pull off the party of a lifetime in this King of the Party game.
Notably, the animal silhouettes bop to the background music’s rhythm. So, ensure you crank up the volume, and you might also catch yourself nodding to the soundtrack.
Towering lights and sound equipment surround the suspended 6 by 5 gaming board. Meanwhile, the slot’s logo hangs on the left-hand side, while the controls cover most of the screen’s right hand.
It’s now time to enter the paytable section, which typically explains how to form winning combinations.
As mentioned, this game adopts a Scatter Pays (Pays Anywhere) model instead of traditional paylines or ways to win. So, you win when you simultaneously achieve a certain number of symbols on-screen.
There are 10 standard symbols consisting of party animals and card suits. Their values in the paytable are relative to the current stake.
This time, I’ll start with the high-valued category in King of the Party. It includes a Snake, a Bobcat, a Wildhog, a Hyena, and a DJ Lion. they pay up to 2.5x, 3x, 4x, 6x, and 50x the stake for 8+ of the same, respectively.
Then, the low-valued symbols are the Spade, Diamond, Club, Heart, and Star. All are worth 0.2x, 0.3x, and 1x the bet for 8+ of a kind!
While the above symbols sum up the regular category, keep an eye out for the special Wild. It substitutes for all other symbols to help complete winning patterns, except the Coin bonus scatter!
Before we get to the Bet+ and buy options, I’ll bring to your attention the cascades, win multipliers, Wild Explosion feature, overlay multipliers, and bonus game!
The cascades start when there’s a winning sequence. After paying, all the winning icons are removed, and all empty positions are replaced with new or existing symbols from above. Each avalanche grows the multiplier by a level, and payouts for every spin are completed before the multiplier upgrades.
Random symbols, except the wilds and scatters, can have overlay multipliers. All the overlay multipliers on the regular symbols are collected and added to the multiplier before payouts.
3-6 scatters in the base game trigger 10, 15, 20, and 25 free spins, respectively. A further 2+ scatters in the bonus round will award +3, +5, +7, +9, and +11 extra spins, respectively.
The free spins start with the active multiplier when the feature is triggered. Further, the wilds explode if they aren’t part of a paying sequence. Also, all symbols (except scatters) on the same column or row as the Wild will trigger an avalanche. If the cascades eject any Overlay Multiplier, its multiplier is accumulated into the multiplier.
King of the Party allows you to buy the bonus game with a 94.54% RTP for 100 times the current bet. Meanwhile, the Bet+ is activated at the cost of multiple of the current stake, guaranteeing the specified event until you deactivate it. There are three Bet+ options:
It’s also worth noting that both the feature buy and Bet+ options are only available in selected markets.
After checking out the symbol pays and bonus features, here’s a detailed overview of how to play and win.
First, the party action happens on 6 reels and 5 rows, allowing you to win using a Scatter Pays technique. That means the King of the Party pays out when you manage several identical symbols (at least eight) anywhere in view on the reels.
But before spinning the reels, you should set an ideal stake, depending on your bankroll balance.
Press the “BET” display, then scroll up/down and tap on the preferred value between €0.10 and €100 to select a stake. Close the pop-up and press the Spin button from the bottom right corner to play a single game on the selected bet.
Alternatively, the Autoplay functionality can trigger several auto-spins limited by optional advanced settings. Finally, the Menu button lets you access the sound and game settings, while the “i” button opens the paytable.
Some King of the Party stats may only be ideal for some players. To start with, the theoretical RTP of 94.32% is below the industry’s average, while the volatility is high. Further, the maximum possible win is 5,000x the stake!
If you were invited to an animal party staged in the wild and one never seen before, would you attend? If some obvious expected outcomes, for instance, being chased down by a hungry DJ Lion, were omitted, I would.
It would be even better if the rave came with exciting extras like in the King of the Party. For example, growing multipliers that are also reinforced with accumulating overlay multipliers spice up the rave party after every avalanche. Also, the Wilds explode if not part of a win during the bonus, taking symbols along their rows/columns with them.
However, I wonder if Thundekick has decided to join the list of game developers, such as ELK Studios, who adopt below-average RTPs for their games. I hope not because, other than the 94.32% RTP, everything else looked good to me. Maybe, to others, the high variance might also be an unpleasant blemish to an excellent work of art.
